Beat up D.T Ben saber outer

A acquaintance has just sent me some photos of this broken & rather damaged Ben's D.T saber outer & I said I would ask some opinions on its vale, not 100% sure of the lettering on the hilt but it looks like it may be BP

I am sure it has some value even in its present condition, but not my thing so have no idea, so was hoping you guys may be able to help me out -
