Hi guys.

Finally got round to taking some photos of my collection and thought I'd share some of them with you all. Nowhere near as good as the collections showcased here already, but hey it's a start ;)

Here's the link.

Got a fair bit still to add, so I'll be updating them on a semi-regular basis. And apologies for the quality of some of the pics - still experimenting a bit with the lighting and exposure settings.

If anyone has any comments or spots any mistakes/reproductions, then let me know.

Nice figures mate!

That Original Leia is a very nice example! (If you ever chose to sell her let me know  )

Thanks Jay.

Took a bit of a gamble with the Leia as it was a Fleabay purchase. Quite pleased with it though.

Thanks for the nice comments, guys.

Still got loads of photos to take (not even halfway there yet), so I'll be making a lot of updates over the next few days or so.

Nice figures mate :) I didn't have chance to look at each picture but what I saw looked in good condition :)

Are you almost complete on your loose set?

Yeah only got a few more to get before it's complete. Mostly just last 17 ones left. As well as a few major variants like the Blue Snag and VC Jawa.

And don't worry, I have a couple of 8D8s to put up there too ;)

A nice collection so far. And the photography is ok - better than some of mine!!.

I have just got round to setting up my lightbox again and i took some pics earlier today. Got to get used to it and hopefully some time soon i will manage to take some really good pics.

Thanks for the share.
Steve

Thanks, Steve.

Yeah, all but one of my pics were taken with a lightbox I made a wee while ago. This is the first chance I've had to use it so still trying to find what gives the best results. They're a million miles better than the one I took without the lightbox which was, well, disappointing to say the least.

When you figure out the best camera settings let me know. I have a big digital SLR and still trying to work out and understand all of the settings.

I bought my light box/tent on ebay a while ago and it came with a couple of stand lights but i think i need to find some more powerful lights.

just loose you're into?

At the moment, yeah. I do have a couple of MOCs and vehicles, which I'll photograph and put on the site later. Once I finish the main run of loose figures I'll probably look at picking up a few more MOCs - been thinking of maybe starting a snowtrooper focus. Don't really know much about the ins and outs of MOC collecting at the moment though.

i'm the opposite, know more about mocs (although basic), but i'm actually getting more of an interest in loose the more i see everyone's collections and buys lol

lol I know what you mean, mate. There have been a lot of really nice MOCs displayed here in the past few weeks. Was wondering if I should bother posting my pics, as they're pretty shabby compared with some of the other limelights on this forum. Gives me something to aspire to, I guess ;)

Go on show us your MOC's.

All collecions have o start some where and it is great to watch a collection grow.

ANy chewie's in there

Don't worry about that man a lot of us here have collected MOC's for many many years so if you need any advice just ask via PM or threads.

Its always worth doing the research before jumping in.

Get an understanding of what each figure caredback and company combinations are worth. E.g Tri Logo Jawa can set you back upto £2000 whereas a Meccano Jawa will cost between £40 to £70 etc the amount of variations in availabilty / price for just one figure depending on the cardback issue and license etc are awesome and can be very topsy turvy. Like I said there is a ton of knowledge on this forum. Study the available websites like theswca.com (there many other top notch websites out there as well) don't make assumptions as one rule for one license may not be the same for other e.g waffle patterns etc. With time you will build a great amount of experience thus ensuring that you never overpay for items and inturn understand what the genuine MOC bargains are when the invariably turn up ;)

Cheers Jay

I'll try and get photos done of my MOCs tonight. I only have the 2 and got them from guys off this forum. Very pleased with them too. :D

And, yeah, I have a couple of loose chewies as well. I have a HK Chewie (actually I think I have 2) and a no COO, hard limbs variant.
