I loged on this morning and noticed my feedback has gone up..........by 39 points!?

I've no idea why the **** this would have happened, I've bought very little on Ebay for the last 6 months or so. All I can think is they are ****ing about with Feedback scores. Are they now allowing multiple ratings from the same buyer/seller to count in your overall total?

Anyone any idea, anyone else had their Feedback score go up, or is it just me?

That's exactly what has happened mate. If anyone has bought or sold from/to you repeatedly then you get all those feedbacks and not just one. My score shot up by about 200 :D

That's where the good news ends though :(

Sellers can now only leave positive feedback for buyers which ain't good when occassionally you get a bastard of a buyer. The only upside is that a genuine buyer ripped off by a seller can leave feedback without fear of retaliation. However, I can see more feedback extortion taking place from scammers

The other thing is that only negs and neutrals from the past 12 months count towards your score. This means that a lot of dodgy sellers could increase their feedback rating (I suppose it could get worse for some).

Ebay are definitely keen to screw things up.

I think as Simon said above it's Ebay ****ing about. Some "bright-spark" somewhere has decided this will help protect buyers (or some rubbish like that) but hasn't actually thought the ****ing thing through. Ebay have taken his idea and decided to run with it, even though pretty much every Seller is complaining. They just seem to think that people will learn to like their new system, or won't mind getting ****ed over!

Customer service at it's best!

mine went up by 40 and I left neutral feedback without fear of revenge :D

I'll feel different when some buyer wants to neg me

I have a funny feeling more people are going to get ****ed over by the change, than will benefit :?

Scammers will have a field day.

Spoons, you heard from the person you gave the neutral to? Bad transaction?

no, but it was deserved. I bought a Palitoy boxed dagobah described as scuffed on one side.

The scuffs were in reality big tears to the picture, I was offered a refund but I'd have been £5 out of pocket on the return postage, and it only cost me £25 ish in the first place so it wasn't worth it.

Under the old system I wouldn't have left any feedback for fear of retaliation, but a neutral seems fair under the new system

It could be agood change as sellers will have to be more honest in their listings, but I agree that honest sellers could get blackmailed into offering partial refunds for fear of getting negged.

Mine has shot up by loads.

And the neg that was recorded on my account, even though the feedback was withdrawn, has been removed.
