Guys,

When I had my collection changing Loft Find in March i also bagged up a load of my cousins and my old Toy Soldiers.
They were almost all my cousins but he unfortunately passed away years ago.
Pig City has just started a thread looking out for a certain type; British Super Deetail, which i recognised from amongst the collection. My cousin actually had more than i thought and i've just got them out to have a look.

Do any of you collect these or know anyone who does?
If i list them on ebay i don't want to mess up the listing.

What do you think?

Thanks for your time

Sorry about your cousin nice collection of childhood soldiers and Cowboys.
The Deetail stuff isn't worth too much, couple of 1-2 quid for a figure from the ones I've been watching, depends on condition and rarity obviously

Some of the Cowboys are Timpo which are collectible, not sure about the others though.
If you want to sell the paras let me know
Cheers

Thanks mate, and thanks for the links.
I'll have a think. You'll have first refusal on the forum for any of the Paras, and i'll make sure you get them for Xmas

some nice soldiers there jez , you can tell the airfix ones as they have great detail and are quality ..aso i see some hong kong copies of the airfix soldiers as well , i collect bagged examples of these myself

on a good day on ebay if you listed these as a lot you would get 20 to 30 quid , on a bad day a fiver plus postage !
if you split them up into different nationalities you would sell the british / japs no trouble but would be stuck with the others , group sale would be best

Nice one, thanks very much for your help.
I may pm you for listing advice. Cheers

i would list them in the toys and games category / toy soldiers / airfix , these are 1/32 scale and make sure you put vintage in the title somewhere mate also in the description write down all the nationalities british , japanese etc etc as this will be picked up in an ebay search ! you have a good broad lot there so hopefully you get a good price !

BTW sorry to hear about your cousin Jez

Man these bring back memories, sorry to hear about your cousin Jez.

Be sure and keep at least one of each to honour his memory, you can almost visualise a kid playing with them all lined up ready for a battle. Cool stuff.

Spooky. I came across my toy soldiers in my garage around a fortnight ago and they are exactly like these and roughly around the same amount.

I've given them to my lad though who is loving them. Only problem is he makes me stand them all up before he plays with them and takes me bloody ages.

Thanks Stu and Ryan.
I don't think I'll keep them, they don't remind me of my cousin, I never saw him play with them as he was much older than me and....
...Well that's another story.
Having said that Ryan your idea gave me an idea, so I've left a message with my Aunty to see if she wants them, one of each or at least see a photo of them.
Thanks again guys, I appreciate your time.

My Aunty has given the go ahead to sell them.

They are on Ebay. Thanks for your help fellas.

If anyone from here wants them or wins them i'll be able to take them to FF.

Well they sold on Saturday night right at the money shot vote of The X Factor.
The winner won them for £23.40 but i haven't heard any thing since. I've sent two messages but i've got nothing back.
I had been messaged before by another bidder specifically about the Arab figures in the back ground. This bidder apparently missed the end of the sale by a minute and has offered me £25.
Do i
1, Give the phantom winner another few days (shes had 5)
2, Sell them to the other guy for £25
3, Relist them
?
Or do any of you want them?
