I have sold a couple of small items to a guy over in Canada which were posted at the end of May. They still havent arrived and I know that there was a stirke over there - can anyone tell me when it started and what the backlog is like.

The guy is threatening me with negs if I dont refund him but it annoys me that this is clearly not my fault.

Unless you have it signed for then I think ebay always find in the buyers favour anyway.

It just annoys me that all over ebay that there are warnings of delays with Canada post yet this mong wants to chase me for a grand sum of £4.57 !

Have refunded it and will block them from buying again - my feedback is too precious to worry about that sort of money

Is the 30 days up then dude? I hope you made him wait right down to the wire before you offered the refund?? I understand what you mean about your feedback. It makes me ill that as a seller you seem to be bent over a barrel far too often on ebay.

He's been whining on about these for a couple of weeks now - it is only 2 x 4-Lom backpacks but I could do without negs for something so small.

Ebay is bent far to heavily in favour of the buyers - but is has such a wide customer base that you have to sell on there.

Guy neg'd me the other day because I left feedback saying he hadnt paid - luckily it got wiped as Id filed a non-payment case. I have seen other people's ratings lowered by the most ridiculous negs.

I know what you mean Iain, it's not SW but I sold a complete vintage He-man to a fella from France a couple of weeks ago he complained because the shield had some scratches and demanded a full refund or he would leave me a negative. No room for negotiation you refund or else. All for the princely sum of $10.

People know how much feedback means to sellers and some out there decide it's a great way to extort something for nothing.

What a tool. You'll not find more idiots and petty minded arseholes than you will on ebay.

I'm expecting something from Canada, how long is the delay from the strike does anyone know?

I've just bought something recently from Canada off RS, he posted them last week and said "Remember Canada just came out of a long postal service strike, so theres still a bottleneck effect in the whole service"

He estimates around 1-4 weeks, but said could be 6-8 weeks.....

Never bought from Canada but I know Canada post is notorious for taking ages to delivery anything. Add on the delays for strikes, and I wouldn't hold my breath, if I was you.

Scratch that......My items have just arrived from Canada this morning. They were posted on Wed 6th July and arrived today Wed 13th July, which i think is pretty quick. I wasn't expecting these for a good few weeks :)
