Firstly,i would like to openly apologise to Maulster,TFB and anyone else i have offended with my recent posts on the Palitoy VCJ thread.My comments at people and their integrity were wrong and i now realise that.I would like to clarify two points which sway my opinion on the matter.
I was ripped off for a lot of money in 2001 by Richard Torres to the amount of £600 which i didnt get back,nor has it been forgotten.It wasnt a case of i didnt know what i was buying,but more a case of trusting a seller which i though had good vibes in the community.It just happened to be a present from someone which i chose for myself,and he wouldnt return calls,emails or anything so that just left me very bitter.
This was my own mistake,and taught me a valuable lesson.
Onto Jason Joiner.My mother worked in a town center store which was also home to JJ previously owned Offworld store.My mother decided to treat me to an xmas present one year(which had been a rough one as i had previously divorced me wife)and i was absolutely astounded at what happened here.His employees sold her a sneak preview Mace Windu for £50 telling her it was a limited edition of 100 worldwide,and also a loose POTF2 Xwing for £75 which again,she was told was mega rare.
Now both these items were not worth anywhere near the prices,and they took advantage of someone which is something i despise.The fact it was my own mother,really pissed me off and when i confronted them i was told there was no returns.Suffice to say this store was in the paper a while later about things like this,and also for selling fake props etc.
I would also like to state that i do take offence to the way people talk about my friends in this hobby.Robbie is a very good friend of mine,and some of the stuff said about him was wrong.He is a hard working guy,with a family who does his best to make a decent living for himself,as we all do.That is his business how he does that,and his alone.It doesnt give people the right to slag him left,right and center.I have made many friends in this hobby,and Robbie is one of the finest around.He will help anyone with anything.
Hope this clears a few things up,and that we can agree to get along.We collect toys,and they are not a case of life and death.
