Didnt know whether to put this in the for sale thread or Vintage chat because its a bit of both. So, last week my brother in law rang me and said his dad had found a box stashed away at the back of his loft. Below is a picture of said box:

As the phone call progressed I found out why he had rung me about mysterious box, see photo's below:

Apparently when my brother in law was a kid they had loads of Star Wars stuff. He rambled of so much stuff I asked if his dad had checked the whole loft. Unfortunatly this is all thats left, he GAVE away all the other good stuff a few years back. :( :( So gutted.

Anyway, it made me think what could be tucked away in lofts all over the country. Must be some good finds.

The other reason I'm putting this on here is he wants to sell it all. I have to admit its nothing specail but I said i'd try my best for him. Below are some pics of the figures laid out:

None of them have weapons, all are in played with condition. Few to point out:

IG-88 - his right arm is literally hanging on by a thread
Squid face - Hood is missing from cloak
2-1B Medical Droid - his silver gas mask is missing.

Die cast Slave 1 has plastic bit missing from the front.

If anyone is interested in any of it, whether one figure or the whole lot, please PM me. I will happily take photos of individual figures if requested.

Cheers guys

Chris

Sweet find, always charming when old SW stuff comes to light after so many years regardless of what condition its in.

I may be interested as well as I am looking for beater figures for my 7 year old boy who has gone SW potty over the last 12 months, dam shame there are no weapons though.

Any idea what he wants for them?

Hi Frunkstar

Right, dont laugh. He said his dad was looking at around the £80 - £100 mark. He said he was offered £80 a few years back. He also said he's open to offers so if your interested, let me know what you think.

Cheers dude.

A great thing to find, but tell him he should keep them. I doubt they're worth even £20 as a lot. Maybe £1 each if sold separately.

Thank you for asking for me, buts thats to much for me as I only want some more for my 7 year old to play with m8.

Tell him he is best to ebay it a keep everything crossed - now is the time with it coming up to christmas so you never know, but I think £80 is OTT TBH

Sweet little find anyhows

Yea i know, I kinda had to stop myself laughing when he said he was looking at £80 for them. Very over the top.

I've already told him he's better of ebaying them and hope for the best.

I've just spoken to him with your offers and he's decided he's going to take a chance of on ebay. He thinks he'll get around £60 on there. I think your offer was sound Frunkstar as he may only get that on ebay, but once you pay fees your down to £30 odd quid, ah well its up to him.

Thanks for the interest guys, I tried my best for him.

This is the thing, I dont understand how my brother in law thinks he's going to get £60 for the lot he's got when you do a quick search on ebay and there are lots alot cheaper and for more figures. Why do people who dont collect star wars so dont know pricesthink they can get a fortune for the stuff?

Because if its got Star Wars on it, its worth a fortune!
