No doubt this has been asked many times, but new to site.
I have my childhood collection of both loose and carded figures and a couple of 12" dolls. I have seen lots of sites talking about AFA grading, please can someone explain to a newbie to the world of the collector, also should I get my collection graded, as it's been sat in loft for many years?

Thanks

Depends on what you want to do with your collection. Grading is expensive. What do you want out of your collection? :D

ukg is better than afa imo!

you wouldnt have to ship your collection over seas eithier. ive seen carded stuff been damaged in transit in recent times.

If it's all childhood stuff I don't see the point in gradeing it all unless it's all mint. There are acrylic cases you can get which have slideing bottoms and they display well and you don't have to ship anything which also makes it cheaper. I don't think one is better than the other out of UKG & AFA IMO. But again you would save on shipping and support a small UK business if you sent it to UKG.

Put AFAvUKG in the search bar and you will find a wide selection of previous threads on this subject.

Personally I would go for UKG for almost everything. Much better IMO and you arent always on edge worrying whether the items will make it to the States in one piece.
