Hey fellas,

I've just had my first Ebay dipute opened against me for a Meccano Jawa I sold last month. The buyer is only now stating he never received the item over a month since it was sent.

Odd thing is he left me positive feedback for this item a month ago and I have delivery confirmation via the tracking number I gave him. What chance does he have with that sort of evidence? Worst part is Ebay have frozen the funds until the dispute is rectified. Not the best email to wake up to first thing in the morning.

Cheers Ryan

Not the brightest scammer in the world then... maybe he forgot about leaving the feedback  . Looks like the evidence is stacked up against him. Reckon its pretty clear cut they'll find in your favour. Still it's stress you don't need :x

Thanks Rob, I'm hoping it's a mistake on his part as I've sold several items to this bloke without any problems. Still shits me that my funds have been frozen as I was about to make a withdrawal into my bank account which now won't be happening until it's resolved

Cheers Ryan

That sucks :(

I would reply and ask if he has made a mistake as you have delivery confirmation and he has left feedback. Hopefully it's a mistake or he will just realise he has no case and will therefore close the case so it doesn't have to go to eBay.

Good luck :)

Good luck Ryan

Good idea to contact him and advise him of his mistake, and he'll withdraw

Sure it will get sorted bud, can't see he has a case

Good luck :D

I have not got clue where you stand, the guy does seem dodgy. I just wanted to say good luck with the outcome though, hate to see this happen to a good guy.

Thanks fellas,

Yeah it's just a right pain in the arse, I've contacted him asking if he had perhaps made a mistake so I guess it's just a waiting game now.

He even thanked me in his feedback for giving him a refund as I'd over quoted on postage which I do anytime it costs less than I quote.

It is a strange one. If you have feedback and also proof of delivery then I find it hard to see how eBay can side with him - but they do make odd decisions some time

I would just send him a perfectly friendly message and ask what is going on - as you say it might be a mistake

Yeah that's what worries me the most Iain, Paypal's oddball decision making means nothing is a certainty even if the evidence is clear as day.

Buyer has contacted me and said he has the Jawa and doesn't know why the claim has been made. Apparently he file a dispute with another seller and it's ended up on me so hopefully it'll get sorted.

Bloody oath  all resolved and he's cancelled the dispute thankfully.

Cheers for all the replies fellas, really appreciate it.
