Hi Guys.

What would you pay for these? Is 200 euros a fair price? :) Also am I right in thinking that that is a clipper sticker on both? In need a speedy of a reply if possible. :?

Liam :)

Hi Liam.

Not an expert, but at £100 for the Yoda and £60 for the DSD I think your fine.

Yoda on an ROTJ MOC is always around £100 (one sold last night) and the DSD is usually £60+.

Here's some links that may help with your concern on the clipper stickers.

Good Luck mate.

Bram

P.S Where do you find this stuff?!

Hey liam they are clipped stickers yes. Personally I would say that 200 euros is a good price if your buying. I've seen a yoda with clipper sticker a few tines but I've not seen one on a dsd before.

Good luck

Thanks Guys! 8) Well I just pulled the Trigger on them :D :D

Here are pics of the back -

Thanks Chris. A ROTJ Yoda has been a Major want for me recently so I am very happy :p
Never seen a Clipper DSD either? :? Maybe its a scarce for that character? :D

Liam

Nice buys there Liam, I think they were definitely keenly priced for having clipper offers.

The double offer 77 back is a nice little sticker variant too, very very nice buys mate!

It's not a common one Liam, it's in really nice condition too. Talking of Clipper offer rarity - Until very recently I completely ruled out a Kenner ROTJ 8D8 having the black wrap around as I had never seen one in 5-6 years of searching for it and then all of a sudden I stumbled upon someone with a cardback so anything is possible. There are definitely more common Clipper mocs out there but it's a fair bet almost all of the figures (in various quantities of course) were sent over and not just a select few, it just depends how many were sent in the first place and how many of those managed to survive.

Clippers are really nice little variants though and the wraparounds are much cooler than the back stickers.

Dude,

I can't find one of these anywhere and if there was one I am sure this guy would have it?

Pretty rare anyway!

Nice.

I still don't know how you find this stuff... Any hints and tips?? PM me...

Thanks for the info Joe! :)

And Bram! :) All it takes it a real though search of the internet and you never know what you find

The more I look at them the more I love that sticker 8)

Jason has acquired a Kenner ROTJ Clipper cardback, this one:

Not a wraparound though :) So definitely cool to see Liam's new find!

That's right Bram it has got a Swedish store sticker on it, pretty cool (and well travelled) cardback isn't it?

Here was Jason Millers reply from RS -

"Wow Liam, that is a very nice figure. Congrats! I am afraid I am not of much help as far as value is concerned but I will say it is definitely not a common figure. I have not seen one with the wrap-around offer before, though my scope and searches have tended to be limited. I guess I need to start spending time on other sites! That is a very nice find.

I will ask some clippers collectors for their view when I have it in hand :)

It sounds like this is pretty dam scarce! Awesome 8)

Those are both really nice Liam. Love anything with Yoda or DSD. They both always look good on any moc. I think you've paid top-ish price but i also always think it's better to spend that extra couple of quid on something unique. Not seen a DSD with that sticker before and Yoda is always a good score. 8)

£160 quid was a BARGAIN for the pair of them, Liam. Nowhere near did you pay close to market price IMO. Not even close.

I would agree that at the prices paid for these hard to find offers the deal was indeed a very good one. The thing with Clippers though is: The people that really care for them are in the minority. It's either Clipper collector guys or focus guys looking for all card variants, for the rest of the community they just represent a sticker obstructing card art etc.

You did amazingly well though Liam for both, I would say if you were to sell you could potentially double or triple your money if you found the right person - if you intend to keep them then you can enjoy owning two very hard to find card variants!

I think Pete should be banned from giving his tight arse evaluations.
Either that or they should come with a disclaimer saying he is a fooken tight arse and this may have influence his decision.

You know it's true, Pete :D

I always undervalue. It's a sickness.
But seriously, i'm glad to hear that 160 was a good price. I'm not really into my "stickers" on mocs so i really find it difficult to value past just what the moc is. Yoda with a yellow bubble is a £75-80 moc and DSD is about the same. Glad the clippers addd so much value. And as i said, not seen a DSD like that before so quite cool.

Thanks Josh Pete and Joe. I am very happy with them! Its a great card variant as you say Joe! Now to search for a Kenner ROTJ Yoda in very good conditon
