Advice on buying Early Bird display stand

Hi all,

I'd like some advice on buying an early bird display stand. I'm talking about Collectors Action Stand with the plastic base http://theswca.com/images-speci/mailaways/action-stand.html not the mail away certificate cardboard thingy.
Are these things widely reproduced? Is there anything I should look out for? Missing/repro bits etc?
I don't want to end up with a cut and shut lemon :wink:

They are widely available, especially across the Atlantic.

Make sure it has all the moving platforms and leavers. Good condition backing card and figures names stickers and yor away.

Mine cost £30 in an auction.

If you get it in the box or with the mail away box your looking at a lot more.

Theres an ESB version as well that I dont think was released, but examples of it have turned up.

There was a shop sold version as well as the mail away version, but its pretty rare & expensive & as Grant has suggested there was a mock up prototype ESB one made as a toy fair sample, but only a couple have turned up & came with 6 baggies -

Good luck finding one of those though

& if your worried about condition ask to see a photo of the bottom edge of the card where it slots in to the plastic base as this is where they tend to get damaged.

Nice, but I don't think they are the correct baggies for it & may even be some fake baggies? as some look like the green text which would indicate re sealed R.L 3P0 baggies & for 5k :shock:

Nice Shawn even got the box and paperwork they dont come sweeter than that! I really want one of these! they look great on display with the first 12! Sadly they always seem to go for more money than i have at that moment in time!

The back board has been reproduced. I have also seen it with the ESB and Jedi logo in repro form. There is a guy on evilbay who routinely sells the copies.
