Hi everyone :)

Have updated the photos of a previous thread from 2017 and am hoping that you good people on here can give me some advice and valuations on the following carded figures, please.

It looks like some may have been stuck back down or resealed?

I hope the photos are clear enough but can re-do any and try and get more angles if needed.

Any replies and advice really appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Fawns

It's difficult to tell but the Luke x wing certainly looks from the pictures as a re seal or re glue the bubble looks incorrect aswel also it appears to hang lower than the card back and looks like a reproduction. The R2 looks nice I would be intrested in this myself so would not want to give a valuation.

The Luke Jedi and X-Wing are potentially worth big money (£1k+) BUT it all depends on whether they are resealed, and in Luke Jedi's case whether the blue sabre is original or has been put in later by an unscrupulous seller. If there are any big gaps in the seal or it's been resealed, that will hit the value hard. But nice pieces nonetheless, these are definitely Vectis worthy!

Luke Jedi is a definite reseal imo as there's no inner tray and the saber would have been taped to the inside of the bubble. I sold my open but partially attached bubble example for around £100/120 and it had an original blue saber and the inner tray

I'm not sure the pronged bubbles had inner trays, but I don't have one to confirm.

I 100% agree with lejackal. The Luke jedi is a re seal you can see it all round the bubble seal and with its also having a blue saber would need better images. It would be nice to see closer images of the blue light saber especially the hilt. And also clearer images of the seal around the bubble. Natural light would help with the images.

Hi, thanks for all the comments. Unfortunately I've put them back away at the moment so can't take any more photos. My camera and probably me are not very good either, which does not help! Have added a couple more I took at the time to see if that helps. I will try and get more photos with a different camera when I can.

I've seen a sold Luke Jedi on Evilbay which is different on the base of the card at the rear - attached below.
MINE is different - does not say TM, Lucasfilm not in capitals, does not have HN in bottom right corner etc?

As lejackal also points out, the figure is robed.

It looks like X-Wing and Jedi Luke are both 'resealed' then.

Do Vectis still sell them if resealed? What sort of prices would I be looking at for them?
Annoyingly I bought 8 carded figures from the same seller at a Toy Fair in the 90's - grrr, so I expect the rest to probably be the same.

Not looked into resealed figures before - does that mean there are a number of different outcomes eg the cards/figures/weapons/bubbles could be repro or used instead of new, and in different combinations or simply that everything is original and the bubble has been re-attached to the original card?

Thanks
