SO I get a parcel today and I check out the postage costs as usual. To my surprise it was half what I had paid. $11.95 and I think the total was 24.95. Anyway it was less than half what I was quoted. So I do what every normal person would do and asked for a refund.

I get this as a reply.
"Please keep in mind the price is for postage and handling the price is for shipping and handling. I have to pay for postage and then I have to pay for supplies, rental & utilities in my storage unit, gas at $4.50+ a gallon to drive to my storage space and back to my home and then back to the post office, ebay fees and paypal fees and the time involved. Taking all of this into consideration what do you think is fair? Please let me know."

My question is should eBay buyers be really expected to cover all these additional costs associated with selling? I am surprised he didn't say I should be covering some of the his mortgage. Someone has too, right? Might aswell be me.

*And yes I can see he is willing to refund something. But seriously talk about a guilt trip

That's disgusting and against the rules of ebay. You should report him. In postage costs you cannot include any other charge but POSTAGE. It is reasonable to include the price of an envelope and or cardboard box as this is all part of postage (i consider this in my charge) but to slap on extra to support your business, cover lunch expenses, build a new shed, pay buss fair to get to the post office etc, is immoral, and against the rules of ebay.
Personally, i'm a stubborn ****er and cannot bare the thought of being ripped off and would not rest until this arse-hole refunded me every penny he owes.
