Guys, i'm having a right shocker!

My dad (Bristol) has just had a large tumour removed from his leg. It's been sent off for analysis. The wound has developed a bit of necrosis!

Last weekend my father in law suffered a heart attack and is still waiting in the Norwich hospital for a triple bypass!

At 4 o'clock on Saturday morning i had to rush my Wife to A&E with chest pains and respiratory issues, very panicky. Last night she was diagnosed with a clot on a lung. She remains in the Oxford JR waiting for further scans and treatment!

They are all ok and in fair spirits, but really, WTF!!!!

Yesterday was a knight mare!

Finally walked the dog and put the kids to bed, knackered (all of us).

Thank goodness i have amazing neighbours!

I need a beer. I'll probably end up buying something tonight just to cheer me up!

Thanks guys,
I've just been upstairs comforting my daughter who is the most caring (emotional) little girl you could meet. We've decided to prepare a "Variety Show" for mummy for when she gets out of hospital. Singing, dancing, drumming, jokes and impressions! She'll be all right!

But TBH it's all in all, a bit hessy it the mo.

I've got a beer next to me, the dog on my feet, the Olympics on in the back ground and my laptop on.

Thanks for your thoughts though :)

Jesus wept mate, that is a tough week - if there is anything I can do then let me know

Take the Olympic tickets i had for tomorrow nights football  It just gets worse!!

My neighbours will now be going. It was only the chicks footy but it was still the Olympics!!

Thanks once again guys.

I'm now trawling ebay, ToyToni, RS etc on a retail therapy mission!!

Jesus mate, that's some horrendous news and even worse luck!
Fingers crossed everyone pulls through.

They say back luck comes in threes. If so, that's you sorted for the next few years!

Holy ****, that's some bad luck.
Hope everything works out for the best.
Best wishes to everyone.

It seems to be the time for SWF member/family member illness/hospital missions the last couple of months, I do wish all 3 of your family nothing but good wishes & super speedy recovery for you Jez, please do not hesitate to ask should there be anything I can do to help.

Thanks for all your well wishes guys.

I've just sat down with a glass of wine!

My Dad has had the necrosis removed from his leg today and is getting the right attention now.

My wife pretty much discharged herself from hospital today (with the specialist saying that he'd call us if the tests showed anything further nasty), she was going to discharge herself no matter what, as she was determined that she would be by her dads bedside before he went in for his triple bypass!

I managed to pick her up from Oxford and drive her to the specialist heart hospital in time. We then drove home as he won't be woken from his General until tomorrow early afternoon apparently.

Wife now tucked up in bed, totally exhausted. Back on the road again tomorrow to see him.

Such a good job we have great neighbours and my work boys are all legends. And thank f##k for Radio 5 Live!

I'll be buying a lottery ticket this weekend!

Thanks once again guys

Sweet Jebus, just read this mate. Sounds like you guys have had one hell of a stressful time

Best wishes to you and yours Charlie and I hope all concerned have a speedy and 100% successful recovery.

Just catching up on things down here too, wow..sorry to hear about your bad times mate, all the best for the future to you and your family!

Thanks once again guys.

My Dads biopsy came back, unfortunately the tumour removed was indeed cancerous. The hospital staff are fairly optimistic that they managed to get it all. He is still having a fair amount of **** removed from his wound from the necrosis, not nice. Fingers crossed they have removed the cancer.

The father in law is now 40 hrs post heart surgery and has developed a chest infection (TBF i think that is part of the course though), still not nice. He is naturally bricking himself, and so is my wife.

The wife seems to be ok (ish) the hospital are now at a loss as to what the problem was. Her bloods and scans are now ok? Most strange.

I'm ok, i had to have my annual medical today; Blood pressure slightly higher than normal. The Dr observed that i looked a little bit tired!

I'm not surprised!

It's good that you are getting some answers, even though they aren't all good. Knowing what is going on is something, at least.

Take it easy Jez.

Yeah Dr's a great at stating the obvious, once had a vegetarian non smoking non drinking mate who was told in his annual check up to stop drinking ,smoking and eating red meat

Rest up mate you sound like you need it, spinning yarns with this lot on here is a great stress reliever for me.
