Hi all,
This one goes out to any 2000AD fans out there and as a fan of this comic since it's first appearance I've always had a fondness for the comic and although I lost touch with it for years I've become interested in it again over the past few years.
One thing I came across was the podcast for the comic which I've been listening to every couple of weeks as they drop and for anyone interested in hearing it I found this one where UK director Ben Wheately is interviewed to be the best on the bunch - https://soundcloud.com/2000-ad/ben-wheatley-from-block-war-to-high-rise
It probably helps that I'm of a similar age to Ben Wheately, but there was a lot in it I remember from the time he talks about and found it a great listen.
The reason I mention this now is that the latest episode had an interview with one of their old artists Cam Kennedy and there's a part in it where he discusses his work on some Star Wars comics for Dark Horse that he worked on. It's around the 37 minute mark and I thought that anyone who is into the Star Wars comics that were released in between the OT and Prequel era might be interested in listening to it - https://soundcloud.com/2000-ad/cam-kennedy
Anyway, just thought I'd share that but for anyone who has an interest in 2000AD, or even the production of comics in the UK it's a good podcast to tune into every couple of weeks.
Ian
