Whats the deal with the 1995 version of this figure? It looks identical to the 1977 one but with a better paint job and the 1995 coo on the back of the leg. How did it get re-released and did any other figs get the same treatment :?: :?

There was a special edition collectors box set with four figures in. Luke, Han, Leia and Chewie (I think). The box was POTF2 style.

Supposedly the figures are slightly smaller than the originals because they were copies of the originals rather than made using the original moulds.

I don't think I've ever seen that pack before. I had one of the Lukes a few years ago but gave it away thinking it was pretty much worthless. Its amazing how the painting technology improved over the space of 10 years. The paint looked thicker with better edges and seemed more resistant to wear.

I remember seeing them in the shops, but thinking the packaging looked **** - what were they thinking with the POTF2 stuff???

I've never seen them close up, i think they're kind of rare now although they weren't cheap at the time.

I honestly can't remember matey but I know it was cheap cus I got it with my Boxed Kenner Deathstar Playset set for a scandalously low price on eBay a few years ago from someone in the States

how similar are the weapons and capes

Chewie's crossbow and Han's blaster are really well cast but the type and colour of the plastic are wrong. The wrong coloured plastic is also used with light sabers and the proportion of the tips is wrong as well.

The funny thing about them is that everything is wrong but they still look cool 8) I think this set deserves some long overdue attention
