Tracked down a neat video while scouring the interwebs. This ABC News report from November 1978 discusses the Star Wars toy craze and this company out of Cincinnati called Kenner. :) I've seen images and clips from the report before, but this was the first time I've seen the entire video.

The report states they shipped over 30 million Star Wars toys that first season. Incredible! How many vintage Star Wars toys do you think there are out there? Something to ponder.

Another amazing raw video news clip from just before Christmas 1977. The video is also credited to ABC News Videosource over at gettyimages.com. I love seeing this stuff as it feels like a time machine. Be sure to listen to their conversation.
(Sebastian over at the Rebelscum forum posted a link to the full video. I clipped it to only show the Star Wars portion.)

Great videos Jason. If only they knew back then! Comparisons to Disney and kids shoving the Early Bird back in the store box! Grab them all dude :D

I found the first link the other day and posted here - http://www.starwarsforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=30943

Haven't seen the second link though which is a great one, if only they knew how much those bits of cardboard would one day be worth! Love seeing all the Six Million Dollar Man boxed toys as well :D
