He has just been on so many adventures, in Y-wing battles, and played with so much. I never had a solid dome or pop up saber R2, so this wee guy was the one. I do have an R5, and he used to take his turn in the Y-wing, to give Artoo a break 😁
Great question! I’ll go with my beat up little droid too… loved this wee guy, as you can probably tell from his wear and tear… Artoo isn’t meant to be shiny anyway, is he? 😁
I’m pretty sure my last figure was Luke Stormtrooper. I had 50p to spend and I found him in a hanger in Scotch Corner, (the toy shop, not the place), in Kilmarnock. My memories are a little hazy, but I remember the feeling of wondering why I’d never seen this figure before, was there also a Han...
Figure collection not quite complete, need Yak Face and various accessories and weapons. I keep an eye out for things, but haven’t picked anything up for a while. I find it hard to justify the price a lot of things go for nowadays, and could not pay what people ask for weapons and/or accessories...
Nice one, that’s not bad going considering you weren’t collecting them 😂… my collection hasn’t been, and probably will never be, completed as the last one I need is Yak Face and I just won’t pay the crazy money they go for these days.
That’s brilliant that you picked up a Leia... I would have definitely had to have grabbed something too. It is sad when these legacy stores disappear. I don’t remember getting vintage figures from Debenhams but I’m sure I did get R2 and Threepio, from the POTF2 range, from there. They were a...
I understand your pain here - I need a Yak Face, plus assorted weapons and accessories, but I know I will struggle to pay what people are asking for some of these things nowadays.
I’m not a prolific vintage collector, instead I have tended towards picking up items as and when I had the money, and seen them at a price I would pay. I have a few carded vintage figures, not many, and what I do have has never broken the bank, (although when I paid £6 for a carded Klaatu in the...
Most of my reasons have been stated by other folk already but I guess I can add that I never stopped collecting the toys, just slowed down when they were no longer in shop shelves in the 80’s and had to rely on collector shops in Glasgow in the 90’s to find any stuff for sale. I go through...
