THE VINTAGE REBELLION : Episode 55 LAUNCHED

Another fantastic episode lads, definitely helped break up my 12 hour drive home. Thanks for the mention although the article about the Small wing DV Tie Die Cast was written by Spoons not me. There is a new article about Die Cast variants that you can check out in the same section as the Small...

GW Acrylic FREE Giveaway time! WINNER ANNOUNCED!!!!

What would I do without GW Acrylic! As a poor old Die Cast collector I’d have to let these sit to gather dust on my shelves. So grateful you cater for the Die Cast line and how exceptional your product is. Kind Regards Justin

Any Micro collections experts in the house?

It’s a very clean V2 Die Cast Tie Fighter. Nothing stands out as prototype to me but spoons could be correct in saying it could be a quality test example. From the pictures I’d say it’s more likely just a nice example of the Version 2 Tie unfortunately as there is no paint scratch lines or pen...

Australian Star Wars fast food collectables are sometimes overlooked and hard to find. My latest purchase is an upgrade on a glass I already had but thought I’d share it. Australian Pizza Hut Star Wars Luke/Leia glass, 1 of 4 in the set. It’s based on the more common Burger King Coke glasses but...

    Vintage Die Cast Tie Bomber

I’d agree with the price point factor. From the 1980 Kenner Toy Fair Catalog to the 1981 Catalog they had stopped advertising the larger (boxed) ships including the Tie Bomber. Only the carded Die Cast ships/vehicles were present in the 1981 catalog suggesting they had dumped the more costly...

My latest acquisition is one of my biggest purchases to join my collection. Want to thank Paul Maclin for offering these and allowing me to pay over time. Photo Negatives of the first mock-up series 3 Snowspeeder, Cloud Car and Slave 1 card backs. These were used in the process to make mock-up...

Totally agree, it's affordable to chase an example and not a grade. Mostly go for sealed but when it's on the rarer more expensive side I'm open to a reseal. The Die Cast Line is still a realistic run to complete and somewhat still affordable. Great to see others interested in the line.

Well I never!! After posting a few weeks back and chatting to Jez about what other Die Cast Land Speeders I was searching for, something amazing happened. A post popped up on one of the Facebook page advertising for sale a ultra rare Clipper Die Cast Land Speeder with a Meccano import sticker...

Who's the Bossk!! That's a awesome pick up mate. Tried for ages to find a reasonable priced example a few years back so I know the struggle and rarity of this bad boy. Congrats mate and shows there's still some great deals and finds to be had.

Thanks mate, it would be great to see if anyone else has an example of a MOC 21 back Die Cast Land Speeder as it's hard to gauge how many exist.

Some great acquisitions from everyone. Really enjoy seeing everyone's latest pickups. Added what some would think is a common MOC Die Cast Land Speeder but it's the rarer 21 back. Not sure why it's been harder to find, might have something to do with why a ESB Land Speeder production example...

Well here goes for my first post. My latest acquisition are a pair of Aussie Toltoy MOC Die Casts. First seen these on a completed listing search on ebay after talking with Spoons about another MOC Die Cast. The Toltoys Landspeeder and Tie Fighter had finish a day or two earlier at a very cheap...
