Palitoy 65 Back Rebel Commando moc...

Also, don't forget the bubble variants as well as the letter variants (65A, B, and C). ;) There's the Trilogo and Palitoy bubbles available on each Palitoy card. There are actually quite a few Palitoy RC MOC variants out there. I think I have 5 total. The 65A is, IMO, the most difficult to...

    Dublinjeff's Small Collection...UPDATED..

Very nice start so far!!! What is your next target to add? As an FYI though, that is not a GDE cardback. That is a Meccano cardback (yours has the "Made in" sticker as well). The term GDE usually refers to the Kenner Canada line of cardbacks with the stacked "GDE" logo on the bottom right, like...

Interesting eBay auction for cardback collectors

I really don't know what it is, but it appears to be some sort of test or mock up of some sort. The curious part (besides the one square corner) is the need to take a photo of it. It's anyone's guess really, but that's the best I could come up with. I've seen printers do stranger things, so...

Interesting eBay auction for cardback collectors

Now seeing these images blown up, I'm definitely leaning more towards "diecut test" pieces. I didn't notice the serial number before, but that's pretty interesting. I have a couple of theories on what the image is, but my best guess is that it was a photo to show what the diecuts on the...

    Rebel Commando MOC question

I'm not following your meaning, Jason. Are you saying that all inner tray's originate from China? The reason I ask is that I own both a 65C and 65A with inner tray and I've seen them on Made in China and Made in Hong Kong cardbacks. So if you are saying they originated from China, then shipped...

    Rebel Commando MOC question

Nah, I don't think they are that hard to find. Just takes some patience. I was looking at all of my Palitoy RC's and it seems like the trays are matched up with the Kenner/Palitoy bubble instead of the Trilogo bubble. Zipy - I picked that one up because of the bubble/cardback combo. And if you...

    Rebel Commando MOC question

Ahem... That's not entirely true, Joe. ;) Here's one of my Palitoy's. I think it's a 65C (I'll have to check at home later).

WOW! These are fantastic! Ackbar and Wicket are my absolute favs! I was just alerted to this thread and had to chime in my support! Good luck! These are great! **EDIT** By the way a friend of mine just got a gig as a screen printer. He might be able to help too. Unfortunately he's in the...

    maniac79 Photo Art limelight

The Endor AT-AT one was used for the ROTJ AT-AT box. I'm pretty sure it's the same (or close to it) shot that's on the box. And I *think* the Ewok Village shot is a shot from one of the Toy Fair catalogs. At least that's where I think I've seen that photo before. Great stuff! Thanks for sharing!

Resealed figure discovery debate - G.Kurtz Palitoy VC Jawa.

Not that this has anything to do with the VCJ, but it's in the same vein. There was some interesting discussion going on this weekend in the autograph section on RS about Elstree Day. It concerned the auction that was going on at the event and more specifically a Harrison Ford autograph...

    Elstree Empire Day

Is any of my UK brothers going to this show, that might be able to help a guy out? http://www.kurtzjoinerarchive.com/ I'd like to get some stuff autographs by some of the guest and would love some help, if anyone is willing. Shoot me a PM if you are willing to help out. I'll of course pay...

Thinking of a focus any ideas

There's been some great advice already added to this thread. I can see the appeal of wanting to focus on a less popular character or one that no one has started already. There are some great figures out there that I don't think many have decided to focus on or at least are still in the...

Completely new to this in need of advice

Sorry, but those signatures are fake as all get out. The Prowse "could" be legit, but given the state of the Daniels, Bulloch and Baker, I'd say it isn't either. The Anthony Daniels is the dead give away. He may be full of himself, but he always signs really small and discreet. Here's a great...
