The US version of grey based on the Palitoy version is grey and has fully functional electronics. I only know because I have one I just bought a couple weeks ago. This he one in this photo in the condition I found it in must be extremely rare. Its stamped 1978 but I’m sure was a 1981 release.

Maybe, some one took a Euro/Fr 1978 belly that was grey, and substituted it into a 1981 everything else. :idea:

Has any one ever heard of a grey 1978 stamped belly on what has to be a 1981 version Kenner Xwing with battle damage, full electronics, and black landing gear, engine inlets, and cannons. If this said 1981 it would make better sense to me. But its definately stamped 1978. Did some one just make...

I have an interesting find. I have a fully functional electronic version, grey xwing with battle damage stickers, black engine inlets, black landing gear, black cannons, tinted cockpit window, that is stamped 1978. Thats right gents... its belly is grey and stamped 1978 and clearly aged to the era.
