I know I haven't gotten much since the prices started skyrocketing after the Disney Deal. It's not that I don't want to add to my collection, but it's hard to justify paying so much more for things I could have had much cheaper a year ago..... I'll have to be much more picky about what I get...

Very nice collection!! I'm not personally a big fan of modern items, but I love you displayed your vintage and modern counterparts next to each other. It gives your collection a neat and unique look to it. :)

I started collecting a few of my childhood favorite loose vintage toys and figures back in the summer of 1995. Then I collected modern for a few years (Sadly I got caught in all the hype over the new figures). I finally came to my senses in the fall of 1998 and returned to collecting vintage...

Looks like only ebay auctions to me. I also fail to see the "cool unproduced stuff".....

I don't think they look too bad. They definitely look different, but still have the McQuarrie feel to them. The original troopers were perfect, but i'm sure they wanted a "fresh" look for the new movies.

I'm pretty sure of bubbles started bursting, the prices on everything else vintage would go up. Moc collectors would search for something else vintage SW to fill their desire/need to collect. :)

This is the scary part.... So if I don't accept returns, then the buyer can get a refund through ebay and keep their item? Doesn't this encourage people to be dishonest with their purchases? I guess they are throwing all seller protection out the window this fall.

My advice is to stay away (far away) from listings with the a global shipping program. I accidentally forgot to uncheck it for one of my more expensive listings (yes, it is the default on your listings) and some poor guy from France bought my item. I'm sure he paid through the roof on shipping...

I collect because of my love for vintage Star Wars toys, so I don't plan to sell up no matter how high things go. The only way I'd consider selling is if one of my grail items becomes available or if I was going to loose my house. I plan to be in this hobby until I'm 6 feet under. :)

I wouldn't worry too much, there is so much modern crap out there and not much demand. I sold off the rest of mine this summer (except for about 10 favorites). Now you can focus on the "good stuff". Happy hunting!! :)

It's too bad, I remember when ebay was pretty good (a long time ago, In a galaxy far away...). Now it seems to protect only the buyers and could care less about it's sellers. This seems so strange to me because without sellers, ebay wouldn't be in business.

This stuff is bad news for the hobby. Regardless of the intent, these will end up for sale as legit items on evil bay. I wish people would save up their pennies and enjoy the "thrill of the hunt" instead of taking the easy path of the dark side to collecting....
