It does appear in almost as new condition, I have owned a couple of 12" figures with original boxes, a Leia and Han, both had tape on the top and the bottom. The Leia was all original but the Han came with a reproduction insert from the Replicator boxes seller, he's on ebay and has his own site...

They are Multi Bots, part of the Evil Horde range, I think you could switch limbs and accessories to make different variations of the figures.

That just look likes a piece of pre production artwork for something that was never released, no reviews of it, doesn't seem that it was ever available to buy, new or used, which is in line with what the seller says, made it to toy fairs and no further.

That seller also has R2 bodies with repro stickers and the clicking mechanisms for sale, as well as periscopes, so it definitely looks like he's stripping R2's down, his line in one of his listings is "Restore your vintage star wars figures they deserve it!!." So you restore your vintage figure...

I think it came from a a senior crew member who was given it after filming had completed and he had had it ever since, kept up in the loft. :)
