This is also how some of my collection is displayed, and also mirrors my view on grading.
It's costly having to buy another acrylic case after busting it out of one already only to recase it again. If it's only for your own display/collection I really don't see the point.
I believe it's someone's handy work. I am looking at Greedos knees the cutting isn't uniform for a machine. It looks like someone put in a few hrs with a great little idea. It would have been cool though if these were made for the cantina scene as you say.
If you really want this item and it is hard to find. Make a lower offer to him than it is listed, and then adjust until he bites. At least you'll then have the item and can sell it again for the same price if you ever see a cheaper one that becomes available.
I have a Luke farmboy moc and it has a real dark spot on his head (brown/black). I am not sure what the cause of this is, it looks different from the frosting effect. It seems to be slowly getting bigger over time.
To answer your question yes I think they do exist, I believe there are people buying and hording loads of vintage mint Star Wars with the plan or hope of making money on it once it's sold at a later date. And that they also have no connection whatsoever to it and don't really care what people...
I see a few birthdays today for 3 longer term members. Rather than 3 separate threads I'll say my birthday wishes all in one :) Weasel, benny100 and Grant_C,
Have a good one guys.
Also a mention to sith jawa.
Collector only myself I just buy what I can afford at the time if I like it. I agree with Clarkspie&chips and inzaman id be glad if the market crashed for vintage Star wars even though I've overpaid for items myself in job lots to get afew bits I wanted. I've never once bought anything with the...
Its an impossible question to answer, how could anyone ever know how many still exist or are even available.
I still believe there mocs stored away that people are just unaware that they are even around them. Just sitting waiting to be found in a loft or even in storage in old shops forgotten...
I don't believe they have peaked just yet. With more of these movies now planned I think the interest will keep building on these vintage figures. At this stage I've now more or less accepted it's going to be very hard for me to complete my goal of owning a loose set of every figure.
Dude I have got the vibe from your earlier posts that you definitely do hate the new movies. And that if you got the chance by this stage I suspect you'd have a great satisfaction in putting Lucas balls in a vice and de-balling him with a blunt peeling knife without an anaesthetic. That's fine i...
I've I good feeling for this one that I'll really enjoy it. Mainly because I always loved Han and the Falcon, just seeing the inside of her gleaming clean :) ready for action. It is the whole story around Han and his earlier adventures that is capturing my imagination. How did he team up with...
Ok I've never joined any of those groups before so I'm not familiar with what goes on in them.
Only here and on eBay is where I have bought anything regarding my collecting.
