Did the same with Jaws about a month or so ago. Only heard about it via BBC podcast. They must have really cleared up the film as there was no grain. I don’t know if I liked that or not. Like they was they cleared up Star Wars originals, but the despecialised ones brought the grain back.

A DVD recorder is good. Then you can just plug a camcorder or VHS player in and record digitally in one quick step. Then easy to rip onto PC and stored forever. I have 2 4TB drives. One is a clone of the first, and I keep it at my Uncle's. So if I have a fire, it's all backed up off site. Files...
