Is there a way to check for repainting?

A lot of the loose beaters I buy have been touched up in various ways. I usually soak them for ten mins in some warm water unless they have stickers or attached soft goods. If it's acrylic model paint or Sharpie, it usually starts to flake/fade almost immediately and as Chris mentioned, you...

    Vintage loose valuation

I've never looked into grading but have always wondered whether it was something worth doing? Have any posters on here had a collection graded, rather than individual figures? I can see the advantages in financial terms and also that you get good verification of original items, just not sure...

    R2D2 price.

Wow, just wow! I don't know what's funnier, the price or the clumsy 'SPECIAL edition' added to the description. Some people!

    Other Vintage Collections

Some seriously awesome collections here all, great work! These are some Z-Force figures/vehicles from my Palitoy Action Force collection! I got most of the figures as hand-me-downs from my older brothers in the late 80s, along with the Jeep and Bike, and then acquired the tank and Minesweeper...

latest film/ dvd you have seen

Nightmare On Elm St is such a classic, and ridiculous how young Depp is! I'm just watching The Hitcher (1986) with Rutger Hauer and C. Thomas Howell. Still as great as I remembered it to be, super tense and Hauer is bloody terrifying! :)

    New retroline.......

Wow! So if the rough UK market value for the first wave is £54 (about £9 a figure), it would be around £1000 to get a full run, if by some miracle Hasbro actually sticks to the idea long enough to achieve it, plus you just know that certain figures will be exclusives or pack ins, as already...

I sadly saw this on youtube last week, but at least I don't have to give this idiot another view. A wanker of the highest order!

The yellow backpack with grey guns and red visor goes with the Penguin Commandos 2-pack from the Batman Returns toy line. Not sure about the rest though, possibly some other later Batman line

Any Dragonriders Of The Styx Collectors?

Hi all, I've been doing an inventory of random figure parts and weapons I have, to try and identify the parts I don't know. I have a silver sword which goes with the Dragon Man figure from Dragonriders Of The Styx. There seem to be a few figures from this line on ebay, but not a huge number...

    Part ID

Hi everyone, I've also posted this in 'off topic' but hoped someone in here might know! I bought a mixed lot of vintage Star Wars/Action Force/G.I. Joe accessories over the weekend and this part was in with it. It looks like a staff, with an animal skull (cow/buffalo?) on the top and three...

    Other figures ID (not SW)

Do they have any info/date stamps printed on the legs? If it says Lanard anywhere, they are probably from the Corps line. Otherwise some other copycat G.I. Joe line. Given they don't have the full Joe articulation, probably more likely to be one of those. I think there are several called...

    Part ID

Hi everyone, I bought a mixed lot of vintage Star Wars/Action Force/G.I. Joe accessories over the weekend and this part was in with it. It looks like a staff, with an animal skull (cow/buffalo?) on the top and three feathers sculpted down the handle. There's also a small bump and bit of flashy...

What could Kenner have done better ?

You got it...Chewie's neck is just too wide for the loosest setting on a gas mask! You can temporarily tack it in place but then the straps hang to the sides and he looks stupid! I agree with Darth Bobby on the lack of Mynocks too. They could have made them so easily in a soft plastic with...

A gas mask that fitted Chewbacca properly would have been nice too! :)
