    Weasel's mussings/questions on football

The Baggies to escape relegation by the skin of our teeth. Middlesbrough, Stoke and Sunderland to go down. Its going to be close! But if the Albion get any more injuries then I might have to revise that list

    Glue sealed Dagobah playset

I would have thought so as it needs some assembly, I can't say I've seen many for sale though. As for price Lafos, C7/C8 complete with foam and instructions £70 maybe. Its difficult to say these days as one might go for less. However, the last lot of very nice Palitoy playsets (back in the...

Do or Dont i get figures graded ?

The UKG cases do have a sliding back rather than a sliding bottom. They look less chunky at the bottom as a result. The other nice thing about them is that you don't slide the card in and risk damaging the edges, you drop it in from the back and then slide the cover up. I haven't got a...

What are the best ways to photograph Acrylic cased MOC's?

Thanks Joe, I've probably got an unfair advantage in that my camera kit cost the price of a small car  but most compact cameras can do a great job if there's plenty of natural light.

What are the best ways to photograph Acrylic cased MOC's?

Pretty good results for individual pieces can be had by using natural light (no flash) on a window cill. If you shoot directly from above and manually focus (if possible) on the card and not the case you can get a half decent shot. Otherwise light boxes are the way to go as they minimise...

    Snipe programs

I'd recommend Goofbay as well. It seems very reliable and you can adjust the bid time to whatever you want.

Do or Dont i get figures graded ?

Just recommending them that's all Lee. I've had cases from AFA, Oscar and UKG and have compared the quality. The UKG ones are excellent imo. There's a lot of people who shout Oscar when acrylic is mentioned, and I do use him from time to time as his stuff is pretty good, but he's not the only...

Do or Dont i get figures graded ?

With all due respect to Oscar, UKG's cases are of a better quality plus its quicker to get them, lower postage costs and no customs fees and you'll be buying British in our industry's hour of need 8)

    snow

About 4-5 inches here but we are going to cop it big time for the next 24 hours apparently. Still, got plenty of wood in for the log fire and a Land Rover if we need to go anywhere 8)

    Glue sealed Dagobah playset

They aren't that rare but many are incomplete and good ones seem to fetch high prices. The boxes are a bit more fragile than the Kenner ones. Try finding a sealed one

    Glue sealed Dagobah playset

I would if I had one. Coco might have one or perhaps Spoons, Sith Smith or Marc (theguiltyone)? There may be genuine tape sealed ones out there but it seems that the standard Kenner practice was to glue them shut. In the past I have always checked photos before buying to see if there is any...

    Glue sealed Dagobah playset

Yes, all the ones I have seen are glue sealed. I don't think I've seen any with tape seals and I'd be more suspicious of one that was tape sealed  Of course the Palitoy versions had a thin tape seal but they are a very different box.

    Crap Towns

No Pontefract, Weston or Grimsby. Bridgwater is in there though Mash: Bridgwater lies about fifty miles southwest of Bristol, conveniently close to the M5. The River Parrett runs through the town from the Bristol Channel and on to Taunton. Once the river provided a vital industrial link deep...

    Crap Towns

Part of the Middlesbrough entry Jay: Middlesbrough Last November I visited Middlesbrough for a few days on business. I checked in at the hotel on the Thursday, and was politely and helpfully informed by the young lady at the desk that it wasn’t a good idea to go out in the centre of...
