    When to start thinning down?

Ha - yes - off the original topic - but I get a mix of reactions to folks that get a glimpse of my office. Most folks I work with a of a 'nerdish' disposition (comic book creators or software developers) and sizeable chunks of video meetings end up with me showing things they keep asking about...

    When to start thinning down?

No plan as such - my 14yr old routinely walks around my office pointing at all the things he will put on Evilbay when I kick the bucket - I think he's joking.......... Maybe. I still have the same collecting goal I had 20 years ago and I want to complete that (basic figure run 1978-2005 carded...

    Latest Modern Acquisitions

Yes, I've got the larger ones - I think now I'm only missing the silly blue speeder vehicle and that might be everything??? - I'd need to check again, sure there is something else missing - as you say it is a bigger range than people remember, but is great - the packaging is fantastic, the range...

Full run of vintage figures value ?

As above - need photo's to really help out but the question is also not quite that simple. You could place a value on the collection as a whole, but if you wanted to sell as a whole, the chance are you won't get that - bulk sales tend to be to dealers and they look for a 3x return on their...

    Latest Modern Acquisitions

Working through some re-purchases and trying to fill some gaps. It’s taken 20years to get all eight of the accessory packs for EP1 - very happy to finally close that one off. The Jedi high council sets are annoying, in that I regretted selling these a decade ago and will cost a comparative...

When I see them I feel no love.

The one other thing I would say in favour of the Retro line - is that (for now at least) - it is manageable - i.e. like most collectors there is an OCD completist thing going on and with the TVC or the Black Series, that simply isn't possible - but the Retro line is accessible and small enough...

When I see them I feel no love.

I wouldn't say I have love for them - but I do think they are a great addition to the line - for me now they are better than the TVC - which I think have gone too far with articulation (who needs that much) and wayyyy to far in price. For me the 5 points of articulation with cool paint details...

    The LEGO Corner

And here it is built It was a nice build - very modular in nature and pretty easy in terms of technical construction - nothing too funky. The figures are nice and there are a tone of play features which are great - sadly there are also a tone of stickers - less great but maybe to be expected…...

    Latest Modern Acquisitions

Ok - so this is clearly more than '1 purchase' but over the last two months I've begun closing the last gap in my plan to have a 'complete' basic figure run from 1978-2005 - the much derided Saga Blue line. To be fair I am one of those that likes to bash it: The packaging is for **** - dull and...

    MCM Comicon London

kinda wish I was - got a few friends who are on panels and so forth (comic folks) this year and would have been fun to go an support/laugh at them, but sadly stuck far away - enjoy it though - it's always enjoyable.

    Vectis Auction Tomorrow

Yeah - there were a quite a few things that seemed to go for the bottom end of the valuation - when typically they go for well over. In the end I did win and they were quick taking the money :) - however, if it's like the auction I won before it could take many weeks to arrive :) Next action is...

    Vectis Auction Tomorrow

You can, but they don't give you the result - but both still say I have the highest bid - so I assume I won them and then the invoices will sort out tomorrow - kinda thought I'd lose both - kinda hoped I'd lose one - overall a bit more than I planned to spend.... oh well.
