There are certainly some Star Wars collectors out there with some exceptionally high quality collections.But I know what you mean everything certainly seems to circulate around the European and American markets.I think most of the stuff (which was manufactured there) was exported.

Mego and similar style action figures in the mid 70s Star Trek and super heroes. Palitoy/Bradgate did 8" action figures planet of the apes,little big man etc in the same sort of style,these are still quite popular with collectors today.
