I love this thread so much. Should be required reading for anyone crying themselves to sleep at night on the premise that "collecting vintage is no longer affordable." Plenty of deals out there and cool stuff to collect on a budget - just gotta be willing to do some searching. Got this MOC...

So much to love in all of these pics. First of all, well done on the MOCs, Edd. I myself have been picking my spots lately and acquiring MOCs for $60 or less (I think that's 40 quid or so) as much as I can. A lot more fund. Also, enjoy the Yan / Luke, Matth. He had quite a journey!

To echo some of the comments above, 75 seems to be the breakeven point on grading - that is, a 75 is worth about what the ungraded equivalent is plus the cost of grading. 70 is a loss of the grading fee (and may even reduce the value of the MOC). 80 is a net gain. 85 and above is likely a...
