It is - the paint application is also very poor and they nearly always have wear so finding a mint one is tough - I've also found them in the past where the paint is still tacky to the touch! They're not really any rarer or mmore valuable than the other 2 standard variants but a nice one to have.

The auction house cost the seller a lot of money - if they'd have done a half decent job of cataloging everything correctly and spacing out the lots over 2 days I think they could have made substantially more. But then Astons were closing down anyway so that's why it was such a smash and grab...

Cracking re-seals Andy, it's a really satisfying run to put together and an awesome display. Ian (Palifan) is a gent and pleasure to deal with too - he's helped me and many others here on their quest to put these Palitoy runs together.

Good point - and one I missed completely :D It still looks very good for a pirate copy IMO though, it wasn't as easy to produce print like that back in the 80's and it all looks vintage to me so some considerable effort/money went into creating it. But then there was really good money to be made...
