    Unique Action Figure smell!

There's a good reason why this is. A batch from the Palitoy factory were made with the same batch at some Strawberry Shortcake (I think) figures that had that smell, and this is the reason why some Tie Pilots smell like blackcurrent! Strange but true :)

BBC Star Wars Collecting Article Today

Nice to see a relatively balanced and grounded article about collecting for a change. Thanks to Matt for putting me forward for the article. The Journalist was a really nice chap and even showcased a few bits of my artwork, which he didn't need to do :) So tempted by that die cast Tie Bomber...

    Droid factory (loose) valuation

Missing a few bits including the real value which is the R2 unit, you're looking at about £25-30 as is - you'd get more piecing it all out but it's a ball ache doing that.

    Don't You Love It When...

Happens to me pretty often, to the point where I've almost don't bother, just stick the base bid in.

    strangely hard to find pieces

Try and find a mint loose Han Bespin with no hair rub - it drove me mad. It was the last figure I needed for my basic loose run and proved to be the most troublesome - yes an easy figure to find but there was always a rub on the fringe...always. And try finding a MINT boxed Palitoy Turret &...

vintage production error luke in stormtrooper

That's just how the plastic was forced. Some short pours can be worth money if they're interesting enough and obviously so but in the case I doubt it unless you get someone with a Luke Stormtrooper focus with more money than sense.

What a great trip, will try and make the pilgrimage one day!

vintage production error luke in stormtrooper

I think so too. If that were a 'short pour' it wouldn't look clipped like that. Looks like it was done with pliers or something similar.

I just did something I've never done before...

That really is the pits when that happens, gutted for you mate :( Happened to me more than once on my loose display, you'd only have to touch the cabinet and the DSD would send 50% of the others into freefall. Still nowhere near as bad as having MOC's take a fall :(

    Palitoy Tauntaun Box

No worries :) It's all conjecture at this point. Maybe another question at a Palitoy talk! You never know, there might have been some almighty screw up at the time and some of the Palitoy guys might remember the story :D

    Where’s Subzero??

I was just thinking about this chap! I hope he is ok. He was like SWFUK first full time poster, always weird when someone just stops posting like that, especially when they were so active.

    Palitoy Tauntaun Box

I'm confused (easily done) but am I missing another post on here?   Who's saying the stickered one is the later release? I honestly have no idea which one came first BUT logically, from someone who has some experience in print and toy manufacture, it would take more effort...

    Palitoy Tauntaun Box

Stickered version was first to hit the shelves I'm sure. The artwork for the printed box probably wasn't done in time and Palitoy were eager to get what must have been a shipment direct from Kenner onto the shelves - hence the hamfisted attempt to get their logo over Kenners. Then the printed...

    Latest Acquisitions

That was a great purchase Scott, the 15" IG is one awesome bit of vintage SW and easily one of my top 5 items in my collection. Everyting about it is great, the box art, the figure...great stuff. The headset is another great piece and it's cool to see these old school grails get some limelight...
