After talking to Bill, it seems like the 1 side smooth/ 1 side textured was a US/kenner thing and the double smooth cape is abundant elsewhere.

If they are as common as mentioned, then there will be a moc on someone's shelf that could prove it. I think it would be interesting to hear about it. I wish I had a Vader on a jedi card.

after asking around, I believe that you guys have repro capes. double smooth vader cape= repro garbage no offense, I just wouldn't believe otherwise until a moc collector chimes in with a carded double smooth cape vader

are you guys sure? mine has cross-hatch pattern and I thought 99% did as well. I know there are instances where they don't, but to have this many, I don't know.

Wow! Congrats on the Palitoy Walrus Man. Looks great. Just curious, did you remove the tape from the bubble of the ig-88? through the bottom or just move it behind the figure? I've got an ESB ig-88 moc that has the same problem with 2 pieces of tape floating around the bubble.
