Playback box art is v nice and I think for many this is the main appeal. Take this away and it's simply a small vehicle and a few easy to find figures so for me they don't come close to the death star on features and playability!

That seems steep for loose pop up R2 mid 90s? I picked up a really nice pop up trilogo MOC (1 of 3 being sold in a collectibles market stall in Cardiff) late 90s for £55. The stall holder was a genuine dealer (SW that is!).

I definitely think MOCs have stalled on FB. They used to get snapped up but now it seems the items that easily sell are loose, particularly last 17. Weapons and accessories sell easily too. I wonder if we are in a generation of buyers fairly late to the collecting party who are prioritising...

If someone wants to play with a star wars action figure it's v easy to buy brand new 'modern' ones to get the smell and feel if that's what someone wants. That's quite a different mindset to those that purchase expensive collectible packaged toys that want to preserve the product in its original...
