    Mandalorian Season 3

Yeah agree, for me this season has been a disappointment. Whilst not on the scale of shite that was BOBF/Kenobi, it's been a lacklustre affair with at least one truly awful episode. I'm sure Favreau & Filoni were thrown a curveball, what with the bizarre sacking of Gina Carano and the premature...

    Ahsoka

I've no problem with female characters. We all grew up with fantastic female characters, such as Ripley, Leia, Connor etc. I just think its going too much the other way, which is just as bad as a male dominated cast. A healthy mixture of role models is required, for both sexes.

    Ahsoka

I thought the trailer was ok, probably the best of the trailers released. But for me, there seemed to be something off. Hard to put my finger on it, but it looked a bit cheap to me. It had an upmarket fan-film vibe to it. Some of the costumes (like Hera) seemed a bit cos-play, as well. I'm...

    Mandalorian Season 3

I lasted about 15 mins, then for the sake of my sanity, I had to switch off. Judging by the online reviews, the rest of the episode didn't improve. Trying to be positive....... From what I saw, the visual effects appeared to be very good. I'll leave it at that.

It's official - who likes or dislikes Star Wars.... Interesting read

I think you're spot on, regarding the world building and Disney taking on a franchise that they didn't create. SW needs a singular vision, as per Lucas' OT/PT and Feige's MCU (Phase 1-3). Kennedy/Lucasfilm just weren't up to the job. The fan-baiting after they were justifiably called out, just...

It's official - who likes or dislikes Star Wars.... Interesting read

I watch D+ through a relatives account, so no subscription from me. I think the 'moaning' stems from frustration of the mishandling of a once great franchise. What was once an 'event' cinema experience, has been reduced to a tab on a mediocre streaming service. We all want the best for SW...

It's official - who likes or dislikes Star Wars.... Interesting read

No big surprise. Star Wars is a dying brand. The viewing figures for Andor and Mando seem to bear this out. The lack of merchandise in the stores is also a worrying indicator. Disneys ideology, coupled with poor creative decisions has crippled the franchise. They should be concerned, but have...

    Mandalorian Season 3

Yeah, Captain Watercress was pretty naff. Suppose I've been spoiled by Andor, as this season seems to be more kiddiefied as the previous ones. I can't help being a bit nit-picky.... The whole town/planet seemed to consist of 30 people, judging by the crowd that escaped the attack. Possibly a...

What is your best ever bargain??

A few years back, I was perusing Ebay and spotted an auction for a nice vintage Millennium Falcon. The auction photos werent very clear, but on closer inspection, I spotted something that looked familiar in the background. The sellers description stated that the auction also included the...

    Mandalorian Season 3

Finally! A decent, fun episode with good action and some intrigue at the end. Loved the little cameo, as well. Shame its taken five episodes to get there. Here's hoping this episode marks the start of an upward trajectory in the quality.

    Mandalorian Season 3

Fantastic to see Ahmed back. Lovely for him to get some well earned recognition. For me, the highlight of another mediocre episode. Unfortunately, the bad writing of BOBF/Kenobi has carried forward into Mando. Very disjointed, with some baffling leaps of logic, redundant sub-plots etc. Half...

    Mandalorian Season 3

Apparently, the ratings for S3 are lacklustre. I don't think this latest episode is going to help the situation. Here's hoping this drawn-out Pershing side story leads to something spectacular.

    Mandalorian Season 3

Exactly, this is what really grips my sh!t. Superfluous scenes that add nothing to the story and are there just to pad out the runtime. With the advent of streaming, I think the art of storytelling has suffered. Storylines that go nowhere and pointless filler. What could have been told in a...

    Mandalorian Season 3

A better second episode, with some great imagery, but it still dragged a bit for me. Din gets attacked and needs his ass saving...rinse and repeat. Less filler and just get on with story FFS. Still enjoyable though and hoping it steps up a gear.

    Mandalorian Season 3

Yeah, I seem to remember he was killed off in the comics, but there's some bollocks on Wookiepedia about him being on the Galactic Starcruiser during the Sequel Trilogy era 🙄. Who knows? Another case of Disney using a legacy character, to justify the existence of their godawful hotel/bunker.

    Mandalorian Season 3

Should have been Crimson Jack from the Star Wars Weekly Comics, rather than a pound store Swamp Thing. Would've been a nice callback.

    Mandalorian Season 3

Bit disappointed it debuted with only one episode. Great to see Mando back, but overall it was an OK opener. Didn't blow my socks off, but I'm sure we'll get plenty of surprises as the series progresses. Cautiously optimistic.

    Andor! SPOILERS ALLOWED

Yep, that was fantastic. The writing and cinematography have been really good so far. The 'Eye' chase scene with the TIEs was screensaver material. I know the pacing and aesthetic may not be to everyone's taste, but Andor is shaping up to be a much needed breath of fresh air to the franchise...
