Firstly, I think the seller is a member here. Secondly, I have no idea what they're talking about; never heard of a true black Leia blaster (like the true black Stormtrooper blaster). Thirdly, the one pictured isn't even black! :?
Agreed, it looks good to me. I would suggest using some methylated spirits or isopropyl alcohol and old toothbrush and you should be able to clean the paint off without damage to the blaster.
And a massive **** you to you, Disney! This is a ****ing joke. Do they really expect god knows how many fans to try and remain spoiler free for nearly 5 months! Congratulations, Disney, you've just created the perfect storm for piracy.
God bless you Mr Favreau! What he has to say about fans (at 28:40) and how a franchise should treat it's long time fanbase is so refreshing to hear.

I wasn't quite old enough to experience the shops full of the toys at their peak, but given the quantities still floating around I think it's safe to say they weren't rare. I'm sure some parts of the country it may have been harder to find certain releases at times though.

This is a bit of a bitter pill to swallow but the reality is, even with those auction houses who regularly deal with vintage toys and Star Wars in particular, don't really understand how to package a MOC to properly protect them against cracking and lifting bubbles. Most collectors still fail to...
The Snowspeeder has just about everything going for it in my opinion; it's got light and sound, a great looking design, sleek and fast, it's pretty much to scale and one of the most screen accurate ships Kenner ever made. What's not to like! The AT-AT is also great, but sheer size removed just...
One thing I'd suggest before displaying them is to make sure there is no food residue left. I imagine after 40 years they're probably ok, if they were going to go mouldy they would have by now. But still I'd give them a gentle, careful clean with warm water before encasing them. Don;t use any...
A word of advice; There's a hell of a lot of reproductions out there these days. Some stuff will catch out even a seasoned collector. Take your time with purchases and try to buy from reputable sellers if you can, either on here or through some of the more well known Facebook groups. Also, if...
These are a great idea. They may not display as well as acrylic in some cases, but they look like a great option for simply offering some more affordable protection. I hope someone expands on the range for all other box sizes. They'd be great for traders to use too; the amount of shuffling about...
Good research, Jay. I was looking at these on ebay just yesterday wondering what if any tells the little dust bin had. It looks like, as with other Smithlord Creations, it has an 'SLC' where we would usually see Lucas copyright and COO. Which is good, but doesn't help if you don't have it in hand.
