£3.5 - £4k. Prices have gone mental - I paid less than that under a year ago, mainly from dealers!

    Anthony Tipton - izzyblue

Very sorry to hear the sad news. RIP Anthony. My condolences to his family and friends at this incredibly difficult time. I didn't know Anthony personally, but will raise a glass tonight, and hold my family a touch closer.

Pick up in Person V Risk the Post, Which do you do?

I pick up when I can. Bubbles arent getting any better stuck down or stronger - I've had a bubble lift up in the post quite recently (seller was very cool about it), which as well as it being disappointing to receive, is also taking a moc out of circulation.

Is your Mrs cool with your Collecting Habits?

Mine is very happy with it - she prefers it stays in the study, which suits me fine as I don't want a 'star Wars' house. We are house hunting at the moment and she even suggested one of the rooms would be perfect for my collection. The trick is never to say you can't do something because...

Do Current Prices Make Collecting BitterSweet for you?

It's certainly made it harder to pick up pieces 'on a whim', although I still enjoy landing a new piece. Would I enjoy it more if it was cheaper - possibly. It would certainly make things like undeclared damage and damage in transit less of a worry.

    Professional Restoration

I have seen art repaired by specialists who have lifted creases right out. It's an expensive process but if done well is impossible to tell (nothing is changed, effectively the paper is soaked in an inert solution and then flattened out again). I can certainly see paper SW items going...

Palitoy 41 Back List Rarest to the Most Common?

Don't be silly - only a few entries are verified in that way. Didn't the matrix used to have a separate entry for 'reported to exist', or has that been wiped out?

    Tunisia Star Wars location trip.

I'm not sure you'd want to go there these days unfortunately. https://www.theguardian.com/film/2015/mar/25/tatouine-star-wars-town-tunisia-isis-waypoint-tatooine

    Celebration Orlando

So, would you guys go again? I'd be tempted to go if it's in California next time, although would have to tie it in with a proper holiday!

    Celebration Orlando

That sounds horrendous! Who did you fly with - I'll be sure never to make the same mistake.

It looks like Darren (starzone) is taking a 30b leia and 45a CCP to Celebration to sell/trade.

How many of you kept your childhood collection?

I have all of my ships, in boxes with instructions and some inserts. I have about half of my figures, but these are generally incomplete - I traded a lot of my best figures for an ESB Boxed 12" Fett when I first started collecting... wish I hadn't but there we go. I don't want to display what...

When was the last time (first time round1) you spotted the original toys?

I definitely saw some last 17 for sale at a Tesco in Peterborough, then being hurried along by my mum. I didnt get any. Probably my last memory of seeing SW for sale in the 80s was at a card shop (I think) in Peterborough - they had tens and tens of Scout Walkers, all around the shop on some...
