Valuation needed on ESB carded figures 2

A cardback will sell for that - let alone one with an original bubble still attached. Darren was definitely asking in that region and it sold.

Valuation needed on ESB carded figures 2

Darren Simpson had a Ben up for sale in the same state for £450 at ce3.

I’d be interested in Ben when you sell.

Palitoy Mailers - Like for like

I didnt think the palitoy milers came with a catalogue? My AA and Emperor didnt anyway, but perhaps NN did?

Do you post after having a drink?

I don’t think Jon posted for support, although I’ll join others here in saying that Jon is a real life non-SW friend as well as a collecting buddy. I never hear him saying anything bad about anybody so the situation with Wreck it Ralph must have been really bad. Anthony - when I met you...

WTB: Now That's What I Call Music!

The first 2 CDs I got were ‘now 12’ and ‘now that’s what I call music ‘86’!

    Response to Claims

I don’t think that’s the case mate. There are some big amounts still outstanding as far as I know... and that’s just of the collectors on here and Facebook.

Good man! No fees on here either, and no scammers of course.

    Palitoy 20-backs with damaged bubbles

Given the 2 pages of advice you've had, it would be nice if you offered them here first!

    Palitoy 20-backs with damaged bubbles

I think you'd average £100 each for the opened SW cards - no idea on the last 17, but probably not a massive premium over mint loose as most collectors are looking for loose over cheap carded.

    The beginning of the end?

Bloody hell mate - that's rough! Glad she came through and hope she's 100% now. I don't blame you letting that focus your mind.

2017 Collecting Goals, hopes and dreams

Still 2 months to go, but I definitely won't be adding any more meccanos and while I've finished my standard loose run I'm still missing VCJ and BS. On the plus side I've added quite a few palitoys to my run! A mixed bag!

    The beginning of the end?

I saw that too - I wonder if it was a 250GTO, or a Morris Marina! I sold a few bits recently, hit a brick wall with finishing a run and needed to free up some space, so I put them in a box for a few weeks, didnt miss them, so sold them. I put about half back into SW but also spent some of the...

    The beginning of the end?

I don't see it as the beginning of the end at all! A stable market is a good thing - rapid price rises and crazy bidders for relatively common items, while fun to look at, don't do us any favours as collectors. We are probably going into a phase of stability - some of the crazy prices are back...

What are Your Favourite & Least Favourite Vintage Weapons / Accessories?

Least favourite is probably Zuckuss' rifle... straight out of the GI Joe scrapbook. Maybe Boushh's gunstaffpole. Best is probably Yoda's little belt/coat and snake - just great!

Budget Foreign MOCs - Don't all laugh at once

If you can be flexible about part sealed or even reseals (with original bubbles of course), then you can get some amazingly tough foreign cards for almost sensible money. The hobby has really moved towards a massive condition premium on even very rare cards.

    C&T 20bks auction today

Snaggletooth was a surprise! The others were about where I thought they'd go to be honest.
