I’m at the point where the last few bits I need fro my run are pretty hard to find, so could be months (or even years) without adding to my collection soon. A break is good but not too long so to keep ‘fresh’ I expect I’ll collect something else with a slightly less tight focus.

Rocket fett jumps out of reach again... at that kind of money I’d sooner have a chunky deposit on a Porsche gt3. The last RF sold for something like $40k... last year IIRC. I’ve a feeling these buyers are the types who would spend $xxxk on a comic, so this is probably a comparative bargain...

No, but as with anyhing in life it's about priorities - plenty of people drive around in a £20k car and aren't rich. If they decided to run a 10k car instead that's a good few palitoy 12bks in change. I'm not rich by any means - I've managed to put together an ok collection and I know people...

in 2017 I gave up my goal of collecting the first 12 on meccano cards and sold what I had (10 of the 12), opting to focus on my Palitoy run. I am collecting the SW, ESB and Jedi waves (so 67 figures). I have 18 to go (plus 3 which need upgrading). In 2018 I'd like to get this down to under 10...

My last buys of the year arrived today. I’ve had a really great year adding to my palitoy run and consider myself really lucky to have added these: 41 back lobot and at-at driver and 45a cloud car pilot... they put me at over half way now!
