    Palitoy Jeffer Baggies - Valuation

Im not sure 'sticky limbs' on their own means figures are touched up - I sealed some figures in plastic bags for a few years, thinking I was doing the right thing to preserve them.... when I opened them they were almost all sticky (they werent touched up)! I believe it's plastic degradation...

    Price rises over ten years

DT figures and vinyl Jawas as well as proof cards have all gone up at least 10x their 2009 values... if only my wages had ;)

    New retroline.......

Action Man collecting changed for the worse after the 40th Anniversary stuff came out - prefect copies of pretty much everything. It just feels like a lazy cash grab to me.

    New retroline.......

A chap I'm friends with on FB hinted at this ages ago and just posted this, which I think is interesting... If thats true, I can see the value of loose dropping a lot, except perhaps loose AFA/UKG etc

    Vectis Sale 30th January

I think you’d struggle to find a moc palitoy fett without faded limbs. Agree that £8k is too high though - last one at vectis was more like £5k wasn’t it?

Stay on Target - 2019 collecting hopes and dreams

in 2017 I gave up my goal of collecting the first 12 on meccano cards and sold what I had (10 of the 12), opting to focus on my Palitoy run. 2018 continued this; added a good few pieces - MOCs, MISB and Diecast I am collecting the SW, ESB and Jedi waves (so 67 figures). I have 18 to go (plus 3...

    Panini Jedi stickers

I know the individual stickers go for very little, but are there many unopened packs around or countertop boxes (opened or sealed!) around? Does anybody have a feel for the prices of these? I’d be looking for the UK issue panini packs rather Han topps. I have a lot of memories of...

    Rocket Firing Boba Fett

Are they actually selling though? The hakes one went for 86k and they are famed for crazy pricing. I can’t help but think these sellers are chancing their arm. It doesn’t help when well known owners are blatantly backing up the prices, although whether they’d pay that much who knows...

Were you a "one toy line" kid?

Star Wars and Space Lego were the main lines I was bought as a kid - I had a fair bit of both. I also had quite a lot of Britain’s Farm toys. I had a couple of transformers but don’t recal ever getting any bought for me new. I went through a MASK phase and remember getting boulder hill...

    Elliott Ashton - Memorial Thread

I didn’t know Elliot as well as many others here, but we shared a few good curries as well as texts/emails... mostly after Elliot stopped actively collecting. Funnily enough he was an art guy and I think we had a couple of mutual friends through that hobby too. Top guy who was incredibly...

    General Grumbling

Putting F&F or plus 4% in a sales advert. Just add the cost of the sale on to your price - as a seller there are costs and processing payment is one of them... that’s not a buyers cost. I’ve even seen this on $50k plus prototypes! I might have done this in the past, as the whole world does -...
