Some beauties in there. I cant remember the last time I saw a Clipper 12" Luke, also the Small wings DV Tie is super tough. ESB X-Wing is probably my favourite though!
Great photo!

To answer your actual question - I don't really think anybody who would invest say $500k could genuinely view it as a sensible investment. There are so many easier ways of making money off a decent amount of cash like that, without the hassles of the SW world. I buy the 'rich person gets...
I may have missed something, but what's to say this isnt a fairly long time collector cashing out? Could be any number of reasons for doing so, not least prices are mental so if they're thinking now's the time to buy that boat or holiday home...
I asked the miserable guy behind the counter there if he got much vintage star wars in these days (I was buying other stuff) - apparently they don't see much but don;t really want it anyway as it's not popular with the new sculpts being much better... no market for vintage apparently.
The Italian Death Star Droid is very rare - you'd be looking at a minimum of £1000 I think, and if a couple of collectors fancied it possibly closer to double that. Very cool card. Assuming it's fully sealed of course.
I dont think the story is any stranger than any of the others!
Old lady who owned a toyshop kept buying things but didnt sell them very quickly - just piled them up for years. Sounds rubbish, but true.
Palitoy rep had a garage full of toys which he decided to sell in 2016, not skip in 1995...
The only common 12bk harbert is Vader. All others are rare, or near impossible.
Easy - Vader
Challenging - Leia, DSC, R2, C3PO, Chewie
Very Challenging - Jawa, Stormtrooper, Sandpeople
Rocking horse **** - Ben, Luke
A level above - Han
They were give aways for the cinema and these were left over. All of the ones I saw had the pop removed - I thought they all did as the cinema owner sent off for the offers. They were sold in 1999 or 2000. I paid $400 for one with no pop but still totally sealed (pop peeled off).
I bet there are 100 plus VC jawas out there - easily - but way more collectors would be after one.
I still can't consider this the bargain people are saying it is - why weren't you all bidding?!
Anyway, I'm happy to be within £300 of my estimate earlier in the start of the thread ;).
Ten THOUSAND pounds.... a steal? I think we need to step back and take a look at ourselves here.
It went for way more than a Kenner version would have (in the same condition) and is effectively a rather niche sticker variation.
10 Grand just can't be considered 'cheap' can it? Was anybody...
