HELP ! Required - Red (Burgandy SquidHead) / Lil Ledy Klatuu ??

Sorry to say, I too think you've fallen foul of fakes based on these pics. If it was a genuine Lili Ledy Squid Head you'd expect it to be sold alone, rather than tucked away in a bundle. Can I ask what was the asking price, who was the seller, and what did you pay for them?

Art print - Limited edition- Zavvi

Yes, good artist with a distinctive style, he also did the mini imax posters for The Force Awakens...

    Fake VCJ?

To my eyes, from the pics supplied I'd say fake. When the sun glints on the cape it should reveal the tiny 'diamond' texture and in these pics the cape looks totally flat and untextured. Furthermore Toltoys figures are usually discoloured with greeny blue liver spots - it sounds odd but it's one...

    Exciting possibly new coo discovery

Seems like a good find, and a new one on me. I always thought pre-production meant figures had no COO stamp!

    Hunch Back Cloud Car Pilot

It's possible he was toasted like a marshmallow at some point but I think this figure could actually be a production error - a short shot or short pour, when not enough plastic is injected into the mould and so the figure isn't fully formed. You can see the lack of detail on the torso.

    Any Bubble Optimists out there?

Plastic lasts a long, long time and the figure and bubbles should exist longer much longer than the cardboard cardback.

    AT-AT Custom insert

Can anyone recommend a UK based bespoke action figure display cabinet maker?

I'd recommend Matt Volpato, I don't know if he is on any forum but he is on facebook through the group 'Star Wars Displays'. Does lots of nice displays for vintage figures at affordable prices.

    Latest Acquisitions

Jason, thanks for sharing the pics of the Redwood trip, a walk in the woods is always pleasant but adding in the Return Of The Jedi speeder bike sequence makes it all the more special! I'd like to go walking in Puzzle Wood to see some of the shots from The Force Awakens... maybe will make the...

    Kenner Survival pack

Here's mine for comparison, this includes yoda backpack and gas masks too which are missing from yours. I suspect there may have been variations of this (I know it was included not only as a mailer but also within the AT-AT box on special sticker versions). Any survival pack specialists about?

what do you love most in the hobby?

I had to stop and think before answering this one, as there are several 'go to' answers I could give, such as preserving, grouping, curating, researching... attempting to assemble a collection that is definitive in some way. There are also answers I could give about the positive social...

    Vintage Palitoy Advert Digital Painting

Nice job, with minty figures. One bit of feedback would be to use the Palitoy Death Star as the background rather than the actual Death Star, more vintage the better!

THE VINTAGE REBELLION : Episode 37 LAUNCHED

Just got back from a long drive - you guys make the M25 a better place! Nice show, obviously different from the normal but that's no bad thing once in a while. Thanks so much to Rich and Jamie for even slipping in a little mention of May The Toys Be With You at Torquay, well appreciated. Mark...

    Grading

There is a problem that can happen very easily to anyone that collects graded. You open up a secondary stream, you're collecting figures but now you're also collecting the stickers from the grading company. Each object in your collection is now two things - it's a Stormtrooper AND it's an AFA85...

    70s/80s Toy Shops

I grew up just down the road near Banstead. There was an independent toy shop in Banstead (cant remember the name) but it was where I got my first Darth Vader Palitoy figure, and there was Masters Of Epsom at Tattenham Corner which also sold SW. I first saw Star Wars at Sutton cinema...
