Torquay - May The Toys Be With You - June 17th - Sept 3rd

Thanks for the kind comments boys. There was a visitors book at Torquay Museum and I noticed some familiar names and reference to SWFUK in there. Some quite frankly, bizzarro comments too, I've made a little video compilation of them. I can't post vids on here, but it's on the facebook page if...

When Did The Variant Thing Start ?

Agreed - from a budget POV it also serves as that middle ladder rung between a loose run and a MOC run.

When Did The Variant Thing Start ?

Variant collecting surely started early on at the start of the hobby with the Vinyl Cape Jawa and Blue Snaggletooth, both very early releases in the toy line and clear as day variants. Im a variant collector myself and after collecting a full loose set, I thought it would be fun to collect an...

    Luke farmboy dt

It's a bit of a worry that the inner wont come out as the big end (which you cant see) is one of the best ways to identify fakes. My concern is that this is so chewed and abused, that maybe someone bought a £10 repro and went to town on it, to distress it on purpose. I hope im wrong!

The Empire Strikes Back Revisited - Review

Couple more Hoth screenshots from Revisited... now with better Rebel Transports and disembarking Snowtroopers (although it looks like the AT AT side hatch opens upwards, that's not very vintage!)

THE VINTAGE REBELLION : Episode 39 LAUNCHED

Grant is leaving? That's v.sad to hear. I hope he might occasionally return like Obi Wan as a force ghost, and gently deliver wise musings... "You'll find that many of the toys we cling to are gimcrack from a certain point of view..."

Shed Of The Year - vintage SW spotted

That one is accessed through a regular looking shed. There's a hidden trapdoor and it leads down to that mancave. And actually I just spotted on the little table - there is an AT-AT in that photo after all.

Shed Of The Year - vintage SW spotted

'Shed Of The Year' on Channel 4 last night had a little glimpse of vintage Star Wars with a couple of AT AT Walkers on display amongst the decorations in the shed below (out of shot in the pic). Another shed featured was a reconstructed ABC Cinema, complete with a good amount of cinema...

The Empire Strikes Back Revisited - Review

Here you go Ian, the instructions and download links are the top post on the Star Wars Revisted facebook page, and it's a public page so you don't even need a facebook account to look at it. https://www.facebook.com/swrevisited/ Regarding the DVD file, I don't believe this format has been...

    Palitoy Imperial Troop Transporter

The toy is such a beater, and you are wanting to get the best £ for it, so I would suggest selling the empty box as one lot £40, the red battery cover as another £15, and the other removable parts too maybe £20 total. Let this one go towards making some better unbroken examples whole again.

The Empire Strikes Back Revisited - Review

The Empire Strikes Back Revisited (2017) – Review by Matt Fox (May The Toys Be With You) In short: A VERY special edition. At what age does it drop off?

I feel there is cause for optimism. Star Wars is a bonafide phenomenon and I think there are strong and valid reasons to believe it will endure way beyond other examples. Britons toy soldiers were mentioned, and that is like comparing a puddle to the Pacific. The highest grossing movies of all...

    Valuation Requests and PM Deals

Some you win, some you lose! I don't buy too much these days but I feel your pain Rich, for one that got away. That said, I don't think this forum needs 'no pm' type rules and I don't know how you would monitor it if you did - short of Edd reading everyone's private correspondence which would...
