Hello all. It's been a while

It's been ages. Tired of the anonymity and black hole of information that is Facebook.

Hello all. It's been a while

It is. This is the place that made Star Wars collecting a social thing for me. Already enjoying reading through the posts.

    Milennium Falcon Jedi training ball.

Also looks real to me. I'm not aware of repro arms on the market. The ball looks ok.

SWTOTW, Week 11, 2020 Vehicle Maintenance Energizer

Agreed on how boring this is. I did have one as a kid and never knew what to do with it. In the end I just lost all the bits and then it made even less sense. But then, only a few years ago I realised that the hose things are supposed to sucker onto the ships. What a revelation! Why didn't...

What's the one vintage SW item you wished you had as a kid but never got?

A Jawa. Never ever saw one in shops. Maybe they were more limited in numbers than say, Lando Skiff or something. There were loads of exciting bits and bobs I only realised existed in the early 90s, but top of that 'need to have as a kid' list item is still a Jawa. I really remember looking out...

Hello all. It's been a while

:D Hi chaps. After spending far too long scrolling through the depressing wilderness of Facebook groups I've logged back into the forum very pleased to see it's alive and well. Really must spend more time on here. Hope everyone is ok. Looking forward to reading through some actual threads for a...

Midland Boys Winter 2018 beer and curry night

Mark is right about the breast story. It actually happened! And the breasts were not a man's! Come along. Drink beer. Eat curry. Talk Star Wars. All with a good bunch of lads

    wooden flooring?

Straight forward if you take the skirts off. Only issue there is having to redecorate after. If you've just got painted walls its not too much of a hassle, but paper could cause a headache. Depends how much of a perfectionist you are I guess

Do you think patreon on youtube brings out the worse in people?

I have no idea what that is

What do you regret the most from your time in the hobby?

Selling stuff. Not having the foresight to buy more back in the 90s. Not joining Swfuk earlier. But it's been mainly positive. No real regrets

    When were your golden years?

Probably 1983. Jedi toys were crazy. My parents must have been spoiling me for some reason. The only Jedi release ship I remember not having was the B wing. Star Wars toys everywhere :D

What's the most strange and obscure item you own?

Ooh! That's an interesting looking key. I bet it was for a chest ...or maybe a chastity belt

    Best Albums Ever!

'Please' is one of those albums that I listen to from start to finish without skipping a track Dare I say it.... Simply Red - Stars. I loved that when it came out. My Mrs hates Mick Hucknell but I just don't think you can discount the amount of great songs they did, whatever you think of him

    Best Albums Ever!

I don't know. Personally the album question is easier than the best film one. Picking a favourite album, or what I think is an absolute classic, even on behalf of other people, is relatively simple. Films are a nightmare to choose from. There are loads out there that are packed with great...

    Best Albums Ever!

So what would you say were the best albums ever produced? Simple! For me it's probably Dark Side, which is a pretty obvious choice. But maybe Abbey Road. And then one I can listen to over and over - Queensryche, Operation Mindcrime. It's just a perfect concept album. Each track flowing...

Best video games over the past 40 years!

I too had an Amstrad as my first computer. Don't remember the model but it must have been expensive. Games were rubbish - had some sort of Harrier SIM, a game about finding the holy grail and one called Jinxter (typing role play game). Anyone remember those?

What's your 5 favourite cartoons or children's programmes from your early childhood?

Oh, not just me then. I can remember lots of kids shows being really messed up but DM sticks in mind

What's your 5 favourite cartoons or children's programmes from your early childhood?

I think I must have been a bit autistic as a child. Things like Dangermouse just confused me. Too much mad **** going on for me to concentrate on. Did the episodes actually have any story line? To me DM was like football in that I can watch a whole 'episode (?)' And have no idea what the hell...
