    Other Vintage Collections

Anyone remember these fellas? Both from Megocorp, 1977 Superman and 1978 Batman. The magnetic hands and feet Batman was one of my most played with figures before Star Wars came along. My mum took me to Coventry and bought him for me. I asked for Robin, as you would being about 4 years old...

    70s/80s Toy Shops

Zodiac Toys in Rugby is also a fond memory for me. I rember the figures on the hangers but also in a tub/ tray type box in which the cards slotted in standing upright. From my childhood cardbacks, the ones from Zodiac are punched and unpunched. I still have some orange Zodiac bags and a big...

    3D Printers and Scanners

That's really impressive. If I had access to that bit of kit then I'd probably knock out a few tribute pieces for display.

    Hello....

Don't be in a such a rush to sell because once it's gone, it's gone. There has been posts by collectors who regret selling their stuff. Research eBay for complete and incomplete items. Research boxed vehicles with/without leaflets, sticker sheets, and inserts. If you're still intent on...

    What have you never owned?

I have most of the figures and several key vehicles. My interest as a kid started to drop around the last 17 and I only have a few of them. I had pondered getting the ones I never had as a kid to complete a loose run but I'm content with what I have. However, there is one standout item I wanted...

latest film/ dvd you have seen

Spoilers below Watched Alien Covenant last night. It was fair overall, but felt it lacked the suspense. I thought it was quite predictable in places, regarding the action at least. The scene at the end with David was obvious even though it was dragged out. As I'm not a massive fan of Alien...

    Metropolis Toys

The cardback itself isn't bad although the bubble is yellowed. I was interested in it as a reseal for my own collection and also I didn't remember this figure coming with an insert within the bubble. I can only imagine that he considers yellowed bubbles unworthy.

    Metropolis Toys

Just a quick heads up: Went to Ryton toy fair yesterday and picked up a Klaatu Skiff cardback with bubble attached. Figure had been carefully removed. This was on a stall being run by Metropolis Toys who also had a couple more cards with a loose Ree Yees and B-wing pilot POTF reseal with...

Vectis Auction - 40th Anniversary Sale

Good stuff there. If the stuff sold for the estimate prices I'd definitely have a punt.

    Palitoy Fett leaflet

The border is also noticeable on the front bottom edges which indicates the thinness of the paper. The border doesn't show through on the front of the original. As with what has been noticed I would say this is very likely a scanned copy.

Star Wars Toy in the shops ?

Like has been said, internet shopping has obviously had an impact. My toys came mostly from 3 places: Zodiac Toys, Co-op, and Woolworths. Looking at my cardbacks, I got a couple ROTJ figures from Asda. I didn't know what the orange sticker was until posted here. I thought it was a corner shop or...

Life Size Solo in Carbonite Valuation

Just wanted to say that is a great piece of craftmanship. I think we should be asking you, as the craftsman, how much you want for it. Labour plus parts, plus that bit extra.

Princess Leia white cape price is going up ?

At the NEC toy fair Birmingham at the start of this year a seller had one for sale, minus weapon, for £30. This was at a time when I was unclear about the differences between repro and original capes, so I didn't buy it. I lost my original cape so had nothing to compare with. At the same fair...
