I think the two biggest problems/fears I have about MOC collecting at the moment are being able to put a value on a figure as you point out and also being able to spot a recard/fake. It seems like a bit of a minefield at the moment, but I guess when I started collecting loose figures I had much the same feeling about that.

Bollux, Capetown - yeah I *really* like the snowtrooper MOC. Got it off Darth from here. Think it's probably the crown jewel of my collection.

Really cool figure actually, the sculpt is a lot cooler than the Stormtrooper from the vintage line and they have a snow skirt + bigger gun!!! :mrgreen:

MOC collecting *CAN* be a tricky road but in all honesty a little bit of research as Jay said earlier will have you aiming in the right direction. Of course its nicer to have the figure in hand each time to inspect it properly and you can definitely learn a few things the more you see in person but if you learn who the good sellers are and buy wisely you won't have any probs :)
 
agree, the snowtrooper is very tidy

so far, people seem to be honest when describing moc's on ebay or whathaveyou, even if i've needed to ask them if it's a reseal etc they will tell you.

I just go by what they have, if they appear that they are a fellow collector then most probably their figures will be a testiment to that

well it's worked for me so far lol

Thanks, Joe - they are some fantastic figures. Will get round to photographing the rest soon.
