Ace one mate, thanks for sharingI love the B-Wing! What a terrific design and toy! Tons of play value for a kid (or adult!), all wrapped up in an elegant design.
Here are my two; a Palitoy stickered Kenner boxed example, and an unused Tri-logo:

Nice one mateThe B-Wing is great. It was the last Star Wars ship I got back in the day. Probably why its the only one I still have my original box for.
Great stuff guys! I v recently picked up my Tri-logo B-Wing from the graders. Fully sealed example. Always been a fan of the Tri-logo B-Wing![]()
Nice one mateI think the B wing was the first item bought when starting back collecting. For some reason my unused one has a spare plastic cockpit.
Thanks for sharing, love hearing the stories behind pickup etc. My late grandad was great at fixing my toys and making replacement bits. Found the replacement battery cover for Donkey Kong. Found it the other week while going through a box. Thought I remember that will be keeping that safe.Found my B-Wing!

It's battered and missing the side guns but it's something I'd never part with.
I found this at a car boot sale in the early 90's when I started collecting. Was over the moon to have found one.
However, the wing mechanism was completely destroyed which kind of took the joy out of finding it.
My dad, who had been an engineer for Matchbox, opened it up and fixed it. It still works even now.
He sadly passed away a few years later, but it still reminds me of my dad, and the fact that he often repaired my broken SW toys as a kid, and in this case, as a young adult collector, who was beginning his collecting journey.
What a lovely story. How nice that you have such a personal connection to this toy, and well done to your dad for having the skill to fix it. Many thanks for sharingFound my B-Wing!
