We took the Shetland pony to the Gower today for her to see the sea, absolutely beautiful day in Port Eynon, and she went in the sea 😁
Anyone else visited the beach ?

Lovely.... just down the road from us. Beautiful day for a trot on the beach.
We used to have a caravan in highfields many years ago. The old post office is now a house, and dogs are only allowed on one side of the beach, and rhere was a lifeguard station on the beach...God It must be 10 years since I was there last 🙄

I know it well. We were living between scurlage and Rhossili but moved last year. Now we are a few minutes from Three Cliffs and Pwll Du. I think other than swansea bay itself and Caswell that part of Port Eynon is the only section closed to dogs during the summer. We take ours right from Pull Du up over the cliffs down onto Three Cliffs and round to Oxwich. They love a good run on the sand and a splash in the water. Small world hey!

Nice part of the World. Good for reptile spotting. Saw several lizards and two adders within the space of 10 minutes up near the golf course at Caswell.

We avoid the beach at weekends as it get too crowded with tourists down for the weekend…🙄… but make the most of quiet week days.
Here's Cracklington Haven on a busy Monday in May.😀
She absolutely loves the sea, but she has the memory of a gold fish in that she always drinks it to find out what it tastes like!

There was an adder nest behind 2 caravans in our field many, many years ago. I won`t say what the men did...

Can't stand it when people kill wildlife. Adders are protected- total ignorance.
I remember it as I was about 6, and we had recently had a school trip to Penscynor wildlife park, it could have been a story we were told so we all weren`t scared, or afraid to go and play. But it was only a couple of feet from me and my friend.
(It was before they were protected in 81 )

Enjoy either way. Ours has certainly changed our lives and outlook.
You can often hear us saying "what they don't take dogs…well we aren't going there then" 😂
Yep, wales was booked knowing the veteran was going so we booked a premier inn. Then a lot sooner than expected up popped the pup and suddenly it was all change, second hotel booked and plans thrown into chaos
