I'm posting this article written by Wolff Lipinsky so collectors involved in the hobby but not on Facebook are aware.

I hope I have your attention. Since a while a book is making its rounds on the German market. I can't stress this enough: I was asked for permission to donate pictures to this said book, but I declined. Very clearly and the proof is there via pm screenshot. (Don't make me publish it.)

Let's start from the beginning: Research is very time and money consuming. You need to have the stuff…buying and hunting….you need to do the research….very time consuming…to do the pictures and work them…publish and write a text. It sounds easy, but I just spent 12 hours only photoshopping the sheets for the Ben cape, let alone the hunting, money, research and communicating with experts. I present guides since 2008 for free via the internet. I often get mocked because of using watermarks. Well, as the sample shows here it is for a reason. Anyway, I started with the Coo guide 1.0 which I had help from many collectors which I asked every single of them to use the pics and got permission.

Now in 2022 a book did appear on the German market. It shows Coos, Ledy, Poch, PBP, Glasslite….and so on. But it shows: almost all pictures are stolen from TVV, TIG and RS. namely it's the hard work of myself aka Wbobafett, Stefan Callear aka Walkie, Javier Ruilópez er aka javierswspain, Marco Jay aka DrDengar, Horacio Narvaez aka Ozio and probably many more.

Someone just copy and pasted our work and did cut off watermarks. Is this legal? No it is definitely not! It's copyright infringement. Do we think about legal actions? Yes we do!

What we definitely want is to stop the book to be sold. And if you already bought it, please donate to the real owners of the work: Paypal is [email protected]

We are still trying to figure out how much content was used without permission, but it's already really, really a lot. Javier found over 80 pictures copied from his own book into this one. It contains almost all Coo pics from my guides plus Ledy and Poch guides as well as Marco's Ledy guides and Stefan's Glasslite guide. I will show you some of it just to make the point. Pictures were stolen ruthlessly. It goes even further: The author thanks for permission to use them, which is NOT the case to any of the picture owners!

I do ask you to NOT buy this book. If you have already, please donate to the real owners!

I'll ask you to prevent this thing from being sold: Please report anytime you see it, ebay or FB.

And the author needs to be stopped from stealing and making money on other gents work: Ronnie Schreiner ….stop it! And if you are in a clear mind you will donate your profit for a good cause! You are selling those books for 38€ and did probably pay about 15-17 for printing.
I also hope the supporters of this book will clearly, and I mean clearly, distance themselves!

Theft like this is totally unacceptable. I hope you succeed in shutting down his operation and getting some form of compensation.
