Old pictures from back in the day like that hit me with a sense of joyful nostalgia and depression all at the same time! :?

For those out there without Facebook (or who simply don't like it very much), here are the images that were posted. Many thanks to the original poster of these excellent images.

I am not on Facebook so thank you for putting the photos up here.

Yep thanks for posting up the photos for us non-arsebook users, appreciated.
Couldn't have put it better:D Thanks for posting them, 1980 photo's are a bit blurry on my laptop but I can make out the boxed stuff and the hoth diorama's. I presume that would have been a corporate retail fair or summat and not a Manhattan church fair where everything's a dollar. I would love one of those director chairs. I see the 12 inch range included a Lando and Han Hoth etc I wonder if any of those still exist?

Pretty sure one of the guests mentions that the Lando is still around on a podcast?

Go have a look on the SWCA for the ESB 12" doll info.

Had the chance to pick up a bespin leia and han hoth box flat a few years ago and didn't pull the trigger...

... regretted it ever since... !! :)

That was cool of Ed to give you permission to post here. Assume you asked, right?

No I didn't. Sorry, I didn't realise that he owned exclusive rights to those images. Since he had seen fit to generously share them with the world, and since many people on this forum clearly also wanted to see them, I saw no harm (since no profit or loss of income for anyone is involved) to share the SW goodness with a wider audience. I did think it polite and appropriate to thank the original poster, but since the images were now in the public domain, I saw no harm in being public spirited either. If the original poster objects to what I have done, then naturally I extend my sincere apologies to him.

I think it's generally frowned upon to post someone else's images elsewhere without asking their permission first. Most likely Ed would have granted your permission had you asked (as you said, he posted to a wide audience already and probably knew there was a risk people would lift those images), but my view is you still should have asked before posting them.
